Mickey and Erik Part III

Mickey did not sleep in the car all the way to his house. She couldn't. This would be so awkward now. What would happen? Being alone with him on his beautiful ranch would be so lonely. She hoped that they could make up...somehow.1

It felt weird as they stepped into the home. It was 11 o'clock and she was surprisingly tired and exhausted. He let her enter first, without saying a word. He flipped on the lights and her eyes blurred from the sudden brightness. He eyes quickly adjusted to find a roomy hallway with stairs leading up to a balcony with another hallway. One door obviously led to the kitchen and another through an open walkway that she couldn't see through. The only things in the room was a table that help a telephone, a book, a vase full of pink roses, and a soft white satin couch. The floor was wooden, but didn't creak as she walked. It seemed like her dream house, and she couldn't help but give out a sigh from the pine smelling freshness.2

"I would give you a grand tour, but I'm sure you're exhausted. So I'll just show you your room," he said quickly. Without another word he led her up to her room. He walked her up the wooden stairs and around to the hallway leading to a white paneled door. He opened it with a creak and led her inside. 3

It was cozy, with a fluffy dark blue blanket and big pillows. It looked warm, and immediately Mickey became drowsy and wanted to jump in right away. She resisted...for now.4

"I'll wake you up tomorrow, around 9. Is that okay? I eat breakfast a little late." He said. He almost sounded as though he wasn't mad anymore.5

"That's fine." She left it at that.6

"Good night." He closed the door. 7

She walked to the bed, quietly. She pulled off all of her clothes. They felt stuffy and all she wanted to do was sleep. She threw it all off and stripped down to her black lingerie. She had bought it for the occasion, which now seemed silly. She shamed herself for spending so much money on something that wasn't going to happen. She slipped beneath the warm cotton blankets. It felt better than she had expected. She felt sexy with the fabric touching her bare skin. She sighed and closed her eyes, wishing she could be under the same blankets with Erik.8

She awoke just as Erik came to awake her. She raised, pressing the blankets to her skin as he walked in. Weird, she thought. She looked down, all of her clothes were gone. 'Oh, god.'10

He entered again and slid a basket to her bed-her clothes. "Thought I might wash your clothes so you didn't feel uncomfortable. You can take a shower if you like. I have a high speed washer and dryer so I can wash your underclothes if you like." He said. She smiled.11

"Yeah, sure. Thanks, um. Can you give me a minute?" She asked, still laying in bed.12

"Sure." He walked out. She got up and pinned up her hair with the band on her wrist. She stepped behind the door and took off her bra and panties. She opened the door a crack and handed the clothes to him. She hoped he wouldn't look at them, but something inside her wanted him to look. 13

She closed the door and she put her ear to it. She could tell he looked at them because it took him a second to start to walk down the hall. She smiled, but quickly took her clothes from the basket, and clutching them towards her, hurried to be heated by the warmth of a shower. A shower sounded good. She laughed at the sight of the translucent shower door. 'So cliche'', she thought. She opened the door and stepped inside.14

She noticed him as he came into the bathroom. He stood for a minute, gazing at the shower door, almost as if trying to see through the blurry glass. She felt nervous and bare. He quickly noticed her glance through the glass and hurried out. As she stepped out onto the rug, she noticed the towels he had brought her along with her lingerie...15

After brushing her teeth, putting on her clothes, and freshening her make-up, she stepped downstairs and turned left, to the kitchen. She heard music and could hear food sizzling on the stove. She stepped inside and saw him, his back turned. He was cooking as he swayed to the music, Run-around-Sue. She laughed, which startled him. He smiled at her, not what she'd expected.17

"Good-morning." He said, still smiling. He slid a plate to her over a long black counter. She smiled, pancakes and bacon. She ate hungrily, trying to slow herself and be a polite eater, but every time his back was turned, she shoveled in more. Finally, she paused her eating.18

"Erik...I want to apolog-"19

"I LOVE this song." He called out. Another old hit came on. He continued to cook. He turned off the radio, which was unexpected to Mickey. She looked up to see him smiling down at her.20

"Don't worry about it."21

Suddenly, she wanted him...22

"...and this is the last bathroom. Boring." He said. He showed her the last room of the house. "Let's go outside. I'll show you the lake."24

They went outside using the back door. Mickey immediately looked up to the sky to be disappointed by a light gray. Mickey smiled at the beautiful lake front. It was surrounded by pine trees of a forest. "Wow, it's beautiful." She said. They only had to walk 30 feet to get to the edge where they stood, now looking at the wild geese that inhabited it. She stood next to him, close. He looked down at her and put his arms around her waist and leaned in to her body- a clash of thunder hit. Mickey jumped as it immediately began to pour rain. 25

Erik laughed and grabbed her hand, leading her up the hill towards the cabin. When they reached the door, he lead her inside as lightning struck. He closed the door behind him, both of them laughing. Suddenly, he stopped and walked towards her and pulled her to him, plunging his mouth onto hers...26
