Three months later….2

Ben and Jax walked hand in hand down the snow covered street, smiling and laughing, engrossed in one another. They really hadn’t left Ben’s apartment since Jax had decided to stay with Ben, and they had been really ‘getting to know’ one another every since. 3

Jax’s transition had been long and hard, but wonderful at the same time. Ben had stayed with him through it all and by the time Jax was gaining strength, Ben had been blissfully exhausted. And when it was all over, Jax had fed Ben for the first time as a Vampire, sparking a fire that had kept the two in bed for three days. 4

They were both blissfully happy and this was the first night they had ventured out together as a couple, and wanted to hit the club for awhile. 5

They entered the familiar hangout and walked in, looking around and staying close to one another. Ben couldn’t help but hold Jax close to his side, often times being too ‘clingy’. But Jax didn’t seem to mind and usually just smiled and scooted closer, just reaffirming for Ben how much love there was. 6

Ben pointed at a table and smiled, “I’ll get you something to drink.” 7

“Hurry,” Jax winked and headed for the booth smirking sexily over his shoulder. Ben couldn’t help but watch him walk away, smiling wide from ear to ear. He couldn’t believe how happy he was. How perfect everything had worked out. 8

He turned to walk up to the bar and slammed right into something hard. Something familiar. 9

“Ben?” 10

“Sam,” he said looking up, “Sam…” 11

Sam looked wonderful, as usual. Perfect and put together…with Jacob to his left. “Go get us a table,” Sam said leaning down to Jacob and giving him a quick kiss. “I’ll be right there.” 12

“Sam?” Jacob asked leaning in close and looking up. 13

“It’s alright,” Sam offered his lips again and smiled, “I’m fine.” 14

Jacob kissed him and moved away, obviously not anxious to leave. When he was out of earshot, Ben turned and smiled, “He’s doing well with the change?” 15

Sam beamed from ear to ear, “Yes.” 16

“Love?” 17

“Very much so,” Sam smiled after the smaller man, obviously appreciating what he was looking at. “And you?” 18

“Yes,” Ben smiled equally long, “Jax is perfect for me.” 19

Sam’s eyes narrowed when he looked at Ben. “You deserve it. I know I wasn’t …you know…”20

“It’s ok, Sam,” Ben laughed looking around at the drunk clubbers and smiling, “Does this ever get annoying to you?” 21

Sam laughed, “All the time. After so long living, though, you find amusement wherever you can find it.” 22

“True,” Ben said laughing too, “Get you a drink?” 23

“Nah, that’s alright,” Sam moved closer and put a hand on Ben’s shoulder, “Thanks though.” 24

“I’m sorry,” Ben said reaching up and taking Sam’s hand. 25

“What for?” Sam looked genuinely confused. 26

“Going all stalkerface on you,” Ben laughed. 27

“Stalkerface?” Sam smirked, “That term is so you, Ben. But really, no sorry from you. I treated you like shit, so I guess that makes me a shitface.” 28

“I agree,” Ben laughed again, this time leaning and in circling Sam’s shoulders with his arms and hugging him lightly. Sam hugged back and turned his face to kiss Ben’s cheek lightly. 29

“Bye, Ben,” Sam whispered into his ear before pulling free and walking off, smiling over his shoulder, “I am sure I’ll see you again.” 30

“I’m sure,” Ben said watching Sam walk across the club and circle Jacob from behind in a hug, leaning in to kiss him on the throat. Someone bumped into his left and he turned, only to find Jax at his side. “Hey,” he whispered gathering him up. “It’s kinda loud in here; you wanna go?” 31

Jax smiled and nodded, understanding in his eyes. It only made Ben love him more that he would understand the exchange between he and Sam, making him lean in and kiss him long and slow. Jax shuttered against him and hugged him close. And suddenly Ben felt completely whole. So utterly perfect. 32
