When we arrived back at the house, I slowly got out and thanked the driver. He drove of into the distance without saying a word.1
Wondering what to do with my dress, I went inside and climbed the narrow staircase to my room.2
I peeled the dress off and stuck it in the wardrobe. I'd give it back to Casper next time he visited.3
When I finally slumped on my bed, exhausted, the tears came. I wished Casper would kill Prunella and Christine, and Angelica, though he didn't need to kill her.4
With negative thoughts about my step-family in my mind, I fell asleep.5
***6
I woke up to the sound of heavy breathing next to me.7
It was Mr. Puss. 8
Kicking him off the bed,I stood up and stretched.9
Grabbing a simple shirt and an apron, I pulled the casual working outfit on,rushing down the stairs to get my daily list from Prunella.10
There, on the table, was the expected list. but when I opened it, I realized it was a letter.11
You do not have any chores today. I read. Please just get the mail. We will be back very soon. Do not try anything funny.12
I was mystified. No chores?13
Grabbing myself some dry bread, I polished it off and licked the crumbs off my fingers.14
After checking the mail, I was surprised to find an envelope addressed to me on the doorstep.15
I had my suspicions, but I opened the letter anyways.16
Another ball. There was going to be another ball.17
With tears in my eyes, Iopened the door slowly. So casper hadn't gound a wife yet.18
I wouldn't go. I was firm on that.19
But when I got to my bedroom, I saw on my bed another ball-own. A different one.20
Flinging my wardrobe door open, I stared desolately at the empty rack where the first gown had hung.21
I stared at the dress.22
It was marvelous. The bodice was light, green silk, and the skirt was icy blue silk, with scalloped edges on the long, draping sleeves.23
I tried it on and spotted the shoes, strap-on high heels even taller then the first pair. There was a note stuck in one shoe.24
I slowly took the note out of the shoe. In elegant hand-writing, it said, Here is another dress. I will understand if you don't come. In an ornate flourish, it was signed, Casper.25
Feeling slightly nauseated, I put the dress on a rack and hid the shoes under my bed. When would he stop bothering me?26
I bit my lip, angry.27
The doorbell rang.28

Good job, it keeps getting better, I enjoy it =DD
mistakes....
paragraph 1, ' slowly got out and thanked the driver. He drove of into the distance ' the 'of' should be 'off'
paragraph 18, 'With tears in my eyes, Iopened the door slowly' there should be a space between 'I' and 'opened' AND 'So casper hadn't gound a wife yet.' Casper should be capitalized and 'gound' should be 'found'
paragraph 20, 'I saw on my bed another ball-own' you forgot the 'g' in 'gown'
good job, and good luck in my contest =DD
