I flew into Stephen's bedroom. I had to protect the people i loved and he loved also. As much as i hated him i had too. He wasn't here, therefore it was up to me. i flung myself onto the floor and felt along the carpet. It was here somewhere. My hand grazed over cold metal. With a victorious gasp, i clunched the gold metal ring and pulled. A square shaped latch was revealed. Inside was a pair of army uniforms, along with a camo helmet and a m-16 rifle. As quickly as i could, i tore my clothes off and pulled the much to big war gear on. The nametag read Baker, even though my last name was Saltzman. i grapped the helmet and threw it onto my head, snapping the black strapes together, and then, slowly i picked up the gun, slinging it over my back. I caught sight of myself in the mirror. For a woman, I looked pretty good in uniform. Shaking my head of those thoughts i raced back downstairs. Racheal, Stephen's younger sister and my best friend gaped at me in horror.1
"what are you doing!" she wailed as i wrapped my hand around the doorknob. I pulled the door open, slinking into a crouch and aiming my gun. The enemy was not in sight. My heart jumped. Stephen was home, sitting in his green car, starring at me, in his uniform, in disgust. He jumped out of the car slamming the door.2
"what the hell are you doing!" he demanded. My eyes widened as they caught sight of movement behind him.3
I aimmed my gun torward him. His eyes bulged.4
"get down!" I cried. He dropped to the ground instantly. He'd been taught to obey a direct order. I pulled the trigger, and the enemy went down with a strangled cry.
