Outside in the Inside

Sunlight filters in through the open windows and sparkles on the broken glass.
Outside and in, inside and out.
I’ve lain here so long, ivy has crawled its way in,
twisting over my arms, my legs.
My breath has mingled with the fresh outside air.
Birds have made their own homes in my shelves,
replacing the books I used to love,
and the floorboards are spattered with bits of dirt and flowers.
When it rains, I am drenched,
soaked through with the water,
whether it pours or gently drizzles.
In the summer I am sun-drenched,
speckles of light warming patches of my skin.
When the air becomes crisp,
I am strewn with colorful leaves of red, yellow, and brown.
When it snows I freeze,
covered with frost and glittering icicles,
whether it falls with heavy or light drifts.
At night I am splashed by the silvery light of the moon.
I’ve become lost in the views and sounds of outside,
and the weather is now me, I am the weather.
I’m enchanted.1

Wow. I must say, this reminds me of a music video. An awesome one, by the way. The descriptions are beautiful, and I love how you end it.

Reminds me of some Edger Allen Poe. Hmmm... nice.

    "And flew into the forest?"

Are you in a forest though? Seriously, I'm asking you that.
I like the descriptions.<3 They're imaginative, and inspiring. They sound beautiful.
