The Three Little Flemos

Once upon a time in an ocean on the other side of the globe there was a shark named big Bubba. Big Bubba was hungry, so he went to the fish market. They had fish, more fish, and shrimp. But today was a different day because the market was out of fish. Big bubba was very disappointed and as hungry as a whale. He knew there were fish all over the reef but he didn't know where to start. He began swimming around looking in all the anenamies for fish. until he came upon Kemo's seaweed house. He knocked on the door and said "Little Fish, Little Fish, let me in!" Kemo's answered "NO! Not by the scales on my finey, fin fins." this angered Big Bubba and his stomach began to growl. "You better let me in or I'll rip off your little scales on your finey, fin, fins!" he roared.1

Kemo began to get scared and all of the sudden Big Bubba began flapping his fins until all of the seaweed had blown away and fallen apart. Then he ate Kemo and moved on to the next house. It was made out of clams; this alone made Big Bubba very happy. He was still hungry and disappointed because the fish market had  ran out of fish. "Little fish, little fish, let me in!" Big Bubba announced. "No, not by the scales on my finey, fin, fins." Glemo said, quaking. Big Bubba became inpatient and he began to swim around in circles so fast that all the bubbles knocked over the clams. Poor Glemo knew that this was it, and in a flash poor Glemo was gone.2

However Big Bubba was still hungry. He kept looking around for more fish to eat until he came to Memos star fish house. Big Bubba banged on Memos door and screamed "Little fish, little fish, let me in." Memo was the bravest Flemo of them all. He screamed back "No, not by the scales on my finey, fin, fins!" Big Bubba furiously started swimming fast towards Memos house, when all the sudden the house came apart and the star fish attacked. “ATTACK! STARFISH!” Memo announced. This scared Big Bubba away and he never came back.3

Author notes

I have to give credit for this story to the folling people.
Jason Stevens
Eva Linger
Danielle Hayes and
Melissa Waugh (me...lol)

We all had to write this story for my creative writing class, and it had to be *easy* for children to understand. We HAD to do something that was an off version of the three little pigs b/c that was what we were assigned. We are going to make this into a small book with pictures for each scene, and then take them to an elementary school and read them to the small children.

I hope you enjoyed it!
