Hank and Avery's Liquidation of Carrots (2) NOT DONE

Hank and I arrived at Warren and Claire's house around four the next day. The official plans were to stay up all night and talk about boy issues. Of course eavesdrop on Hank and Warrens conversations in the process. Claire had said every once in a while she would hear him use my name. We don't know any other Averys in our little town either. From what she tells me he is also thinking about ending it with Belle. I tried not to act excited. Onion skin, she would have said. You can see write through my protective layer and see the truth instantly.2

Warren is such a nervous wreck sometimes. The second Avery stepped through the door he went crazy. He was flustered and everything! For some reason Avery retained her composure. She is so good at it too. I walked in and got a little warm too. Claire is, well, amazing. So, Warren and I ran off to the basement and played some video games. Little did Avery and Claire know that there was a vent that led to Claire's room. We could hear everything they talked about. 4

Right when we got to her room we plopped ourselves onto the floor. We burst out in our current crushes. Warren for myself and Hank for her. It was pretty crazy. Thank god those two were in the basements or they would have heard us! The one thing she didn't want Hank to hear was she had heard a few rumors about him. Him and his ex-girlfriend had done a little more than we all thought. She just thought it was funny and didn't believe it. She wouldn't care anyway. She wasn't like that and no one was having her. It was odd though, usually he would have told me things like that. I could see him in that situation though. How weird to think, right?6

Claire likes me? Oh wow! That was just so peculiar to hear. Especially because she had said herself, "Okay, I really do like Hank! Don't laugh, please!" Of course laughter followed obnoxiously from Avery. I was very pleased with myself on the other hand. Warren was also outrageously happy because Avery herself said a few things I won't repeat about him. It's funny, girls talk about sex too. Ha! Whoa, they just said something about Kayla and I. There are rumors going around I had sex with her? How did they find out? It was such a long time ago though.8
