Ben burst through the doors of Jax’s apartment, and came face to face with not only Jax but his two roommates as well: Ki and Vincent. Ki and Vincent were playing something on the PlayStation and Jax was sitting on the couch, cross-legged and watching. When the door flew open, he stared up at Ben as if he were confused and Ki and Vincent both turned to look. 2

“Honey,” Vincent asked in his flamboyant way, “Are you alright?” 3

“Jax,” Ben panted out walking closer. He knew he looked like a wild tiger and most likely scared the shit out of all three of them, but right now, only one thing mattered. Getting Jax under him. “Get up.” 4

“Ben,” Jax unfolded his legs and stood, only to have Vincent stand in his way. 5

“Get out,” the tall man said, showing he meant business by spreading his stance. “You don’t just bust in here like that and expect to…” 6

“It’s alright, Vin,” Jax said grabbing his shoulder and gently pushing him to the side. “Thank you, but it’s alright.” 7

“You sure?” Ki asked getting to his feet. He was much smaller, but it showed in his eyes that he would tear the face off of anyone who touched one of his friends. 8

“Ben?” Jax walked up to him and put a hand over his heart, “Come on.” 9

Ben stared down at him and suddenly grabbed him and pulled him into a tight hug. He could feel the two men jump to ready but settle when they saw what he was doing. He couldn’t’ help but squeeze Jax hard, even though he knew it had to hurt, and nearly cried out in utter relief when Jax’s hands came up his back to grip on just as tightly. Ben buried his face in Jax’s neck and began to sob. Even though he knew it wasn’t the manly thing to do, he couldn’t stop it. His entire body trembled as Jax rubbed his spine, obviioulsy motioning to the others for privacy. 10

That’s when Ben collapsed to the ground, overcome with everything and simply no longer able to stand. Jax was the first to him, reaching out and stroking over his face, followed quickly by Ki and Vincent. 11

“Help me,” Jax said to the others. “Help me get him to my room.” 12

“Shouldn’t we call someone?” Ki asked reaching out for an arm. “Is he ok?” 13

“Just help me,” Jax said calmly. Though Ben could hear them talking and feel their hands lifting him, he couldn’t open his eyes. He clutched on to someone’s head as he was hoisted higher and could tell by the scent that it wasn’t Jax. 14

“Jax…” he whispered hoarsely, lifting his head and seeing him. Jax’s hand came to the side of his face and urged him back down into the crook, of what Ben now recognized as Vin’s shoulder. He could tell by the hair and tobacco smell, mixed with something sweet from a bottle. He relaxed into him as they carried him to Jax’s room and lost complete consciousness when they laid him down on the bed. The last full memory he had was hearing Jax’s voice tell the others, “We’ll be alright.” 15

Sam walked across the room and went toward the bathroom, and knocked lightly, “It’s ok, Jacob. Open the door.” 17

The door flung open and Jacob all but leapt and him, reaching up and checking his face and neck for injury. “Did he hurt you? God, what happened? Are you ok? Sam?”18

“Come here,” Sam whispered with a smile, reaching down and picking Jacob up by gripping behind his knees and shoulders. “Come and lay down with me.” 19

“Lay down?” Jacob allowed himself to be hoisted but was still stiff as a board, his anxiety showing clearly. “You want me to lay down and relax after that?” 20

“Yes. ‘That’ was Ben. My ex. The guy you met in the parking lot.” Sam said crossing the room again and laying Jacob down on the bed. “Things just sort of exploded there for a minute.” 21

“Did he hurt you?” 22

Sam scoffed and tried to sound tough, even though Ben could have easily hurt him had he truly wanted. Sam knew that if it had come down to a fight with Ben, he may very well no longer be standing, but he wasn’t about to tell Jacob that. “No.” 23

“Sure?” Jacob reached forward and pulled the towel off of Sam and check his chest and stomach. His eyes climbed up and checked his upper chest and neck and he hissed when he saw the scratches from Ben’s teeth. “What the hell is that from?” 24

“Two very sharp teeth.” Sam said sitting down next to Jacob and calmly removing the sheet that was wrapped around the smaller man. 25

“He bit you?” Jacob’s voice turned hard, making Sam look up into his eyes. What he saw took him back for a second. He saw pure anger, swirling with jealousy. “Like as in took you blood, bit you?” 26

Sam reached over and touched Jacob’s cheek, smiling softly, “No.” 27

“Then what?” 28

“He learned that I had fed from you, got mad, threatened me with his teeth and then stopped. He didn’t have any of my blood.” Sam continued touching Jacob’s face lightly, not caring that his expression was most likely that of a woman. He knew every line of his face had gone soft with Jacob’s jealous possessiveness and felt his body respond as well. Jacob noticed as well and smiled, despite the situation. 29

“So then he is done with it then? The hurt ex? He’s done trying to hurt you?” 30

“I think so,” Sam said moving closer and lifting his other hand. He stroked over the other side of Jacob’s face and smiled again, “I’m all yours.” 31

“Damn straight,” Jacob grumbled, looking cuter than ever. “What about your door?” 32

“I’ll have it fixed tomorrow, I will need a place to stay through the daylight hours, so they can get in here without frying me.” Sam tried to sound light but Jacob’s face went hard. “I was kidding.” 33

“Having you fry under the sun isn’t funny to me.” 34

“I know,” he kissed Jacob lightly, “Jacob?” 35

“What?” 36

“I’m in love with you.” 37

Jacob paused for a second then went all sappy on him, “Oh, Sam,” he smiled and lilted into him, “I love you too.” 38

Sam kissed Jacob softer and longer than he had ever kissed anyone in his life. Even Sea. He took his time and let his love pour out of him into Jacob’s mouth, before finally pulling back and smiling. 39

“What?” Jacob asked blushing. 40

“So then I can stay with you tomorrow day?” 41

“Of course,” Jacob blushed brighter, “I will have to do some stuff first, to my place. Like window covering and that.” 42

“Making sure there is no underwear on the floor?” Sam asked making Jacob blush brighter. “What about your friends? Will they mind and will they leave me alone in sleep?” 43

“I will tell them you don’t feel well and they won’t bother you.” 44

Sam pushed into Sam and brought him to his back. He parted his leg and settled his body between them, making sure that Jacob got a good feel of his excitement against his own. He pushed forward once. “Sun’s coming soon. I need to be inside you before it does.” 45

In response, Jacob spread his legs wide and offered his body, making Sam growl and lower his head. “And when I come to you tomorrow, you will offer me that favor I was just about to ask for when we were interrupted.” 46

“What…oh,” Jacob arched as Sam began to enter his body, forgetting his question and getting lost in the Vampire above him…47
