X-men cody Ch. 2

As Cody stood looking at the mansion that made up the school a bald man in a wheelchair approached. Cody used his powers to see what the mans intents were, to find the man had some sort of mental block up. Cody was suprised, this was the first person he has encountered that he couldn't immediatly read the thoughts of. While Cody was pondering this fact the man approached so he was a yard away from Cody and stood facing him.1

"Welcome to my school Cody."2

Cody jumped in suprise. How had he not noticed the man approach, and even more improtant, how did this stranger know his name?!"3

"hh...How, you...what..." Cosy stammered cmpletly flustered. The man didn't move his lips, he spoke into Cody's mind. "Do not be afraid. I like you am a telepath. I can help you learn to control your powers and use them for good. I can also help you gain mental blocks so you won't be bombarded with the thoughts of others."4

"Can you? Can you really help me?!" Cody tried not to show how much he longed for what the man promissed him, he tried not to show how much he had been hurt, how scared he was of himself. But the trained telepath saw it all, and knew what Cody had been through, knew all about him.5

"yes, I can and will help you. You are the most powerful telepath I have ever encountered, and believe me, that is saying a LOT. Come with me." Professor Xavier said.6

Cody followed him into the school. It was a friendly looking place, with tenagers wandering all arround obviously between classes. No one gave cody a second glance except the teachers as Cody followed the headmaster down the hall to an elevator.7

The elevator lead to the training area under the school. Professor Xavier lead Cody to one of the training rooms and began to teach the boy now to focus his thoughts so he wouldn't be bombarded be the thoughts of all the students upstairs. Cody struggled to concentrate as the professor spoke softly to him offering encouragment and suggestions. After a few hours Cody was able to tune out a lot of the thoughts arround him. 8

Professor Xavier was well pleased with Cody's progress and said so. Cody smiled. Perhaps he could control his powers after all. It was a relieving thought.
