If flowers are apologies1

then why is this so hard2

incoherent words3

mean nothing to either of us4

these nostalgic memories5

of times touch my soul6

the way that it should be7

the days of sorrow8

and regret have passed9

with the day and night10

but every so often11

we see twilight 12

the essence of beauty13

in the eye of the beholder14

special feeling of bliss15

a sacred moment of16

memory in my touched soul17

maybe someday18
