If anyone is reading this, this means something has happened to me. My name is Derrick Crimmer. 9 hours ago on I was diving in the city, when this big wall of smoke started to envelop the buildings on the left side of my car. All I heard was screaming and the sirens of ambulances and fire trucks. Soon an army figure ordered us to leave our car. I tried to ask him what was going on, but all he said that there was this whistling sound in the air and then the smoke appeared in the ocean 3 minutes after the noise. I heard a whistling sound before I went into the tunnel, it was very quiet, and you wouldn't even notice it. What I still don't get is the whistling sound occurred the east. The smoke occurred in the west. It apparently broke all the glass out of buildings.2

Before I could say any more, I heard this trumpeting roar in the smoke. A fighter jet was thrown out of the smoke. I jumped, barely escaping it. Then, this giant arm (taller than the buildings around it) appeared from the smoke, then its entire body, it roared loud. Everyone ran away from it. I and a few others ran into the mall a few feet away. The army was rounding up people to go in the mall; I got in just before the closed the bomb proof doors. People were screaming, crying and trying to figure out what was going on. An old woman had a radio, we all listened. It said that the stuff that is happening here is being reported everywhere on earth, so it's like a invasion or something. The power went out, so we desperately tried to find some flashlights, we did eventually.3

An hour or so after the event, almost everyone was sleep, and then there were army guys with us, they decided themselves as leaders. There were some argument with him and the others about who should be leader, but all of it was over when they pulled out their guns and aimed it at everyone. They said if anyone were to try to cross them, they'll answer to his gun. Not to be the one to get on his nerves, but there were like 35 of us, and he couldn't take us all out. We were also bigger than him anyways. Back to the story, Everyone expected the army to eradicate these-- well whatever they are, but not only did they not beat them, there were no noise what so ever outside. No gunfire, no explosions, no nothing. We all thought it was over, so the army guys told us we were going to this office building about 300 yards away, since it had more supplies, but no one wanted too. Then they forced us to go. They he reassured us that everything was all right, so one of them opened the door slightly, but when he did, something on the outside yanked the door wide open and ate him in half. We all screamed the rest of the army guys shot at the creature and told us to run.4

As I ran, the ground started to buckle and break, as if someone was pushing up against it. We lost most our numbers as giant tentacles grabbed people. Then we found out that these things regenerate from even the most intensive attacks. We all ran to the building and locked ourselves in, but we found out we weren't alone. There were 3 other people with us. One, who I believe who's name was Mike, looked like he was going to crack, the other two, Who's names are Kimara and Kayla, we stayed away from him. We all were going to stay until help arrived or the creatures left. Kimara informed me that everyone else was "assimilated" inside them, when the creatures got in. That's how we believe they grow. The two also showed us a window, in which we could view the destruction outside. It was loud out there, they were emitting a light into the sky, I don’t know why. We also saw a huge creature; around 400 feet tall "throw up" a newborn, which was 50 feet tall even at its age. The baby made this loud shriek, which set the crazy guy off. The creatures desperately tried to find us. On of the army guys shot him in the head, killing him. A few army guys and I snuck out and threw the body outside the room, but the creatures heard us and attacked us all but me and one army guy survived. We presumably killed it when we pushed it down the stairs.5

The remaining solider informed us that there’s an army has a base a few miles from here with survivors. With no other option, we all decided to leave the mall and the city behind and go to the base. But before we could run the creature that we thought we killed came back and stabbed Kimara and the solider rights in their hearts with its tail, killing her instantly. I grabbed a fire extinguisher and doused the creature. It was dazed, so I burnt it with a match from my pocket. It was dead for sure. The others unfortunately, heard us and ran to our position. Kayla and I left.6

Kayla tried to calm me down; she noted that her Mom died too. So I calmed down, realizing what she has gone through also. We were quietly talking to ourselves of what these things are and what is their motivation is for coming to Earth. My idea was that they were aliens, intended to maximize themselves by eating humans. She rolled with the idea. We were free and outside We hugged in joy, but it was suddenly over when the army base we were trying to reach was destroyed by a nuclear bomb (presumably because it was overrun by these things). We watch the mushroom cloud grow. And then the sky turned a dark green color, the sun’s rays was blocked presumably forever, they must have did this. We ran to seek shelter from the cold. We saw millions and millions of aliens appear from the sky in giant warships. Kayla cried and I hugged her, we both knew the human race were inevitably extinct from the start.7
