Hoodwinked

Waking up in the afternoon,
I feel asleep in the living room,
I can't help but notice that your not here.1

You drove me home on those crazy nights,
We’d stay up late and get into fights,
But I loved every second I didn’t hate you.2

You held my hand through all the pain,
You showed me that in life there’s so much to gain,
I gave it all up just for a while.3

You were silently storing every lie inside,
You said I could trust you and to you I hide,
Away form this world is where we used to be.4

I’ve tired to find a star through the cloudy skies.
It’s hard to find someone without deceitful eyes.
Nothing comes easily to me.5

I try to find out, but it’s a waste of my time,
I try to think happily, but all I get are negative rhymes.
And I don’t think I’ll ever understand.
