Today was the big day, I started classes. College Writing at 2:15. It was interesting trying to find it, especially since I didn't quite know where the building was, once I found it was I was good and kind of thankful I allowed myself some extra time to be able to find it. Once in class I was fine. I wasn't sure at first about having a female professor, especially since most of the female teachers I had in high school weren't exactly my favorite teachers, excellent people, just didn't like them as teachers. This was amazing. She told us how we'll be allowed to write about what we want. 2
After that, I went to the Student Center to try to exchanged a shirt I'd gotten for a different size. Man the lines in the store were crazy. Guess that's what it's like first day of class, many people buying books they need or returning ones they don't need.3
Now it's 'bout ten and I'm doing nothing. It's fun though. 4

After a restless night, mostly because I was worried about sleeping in too late and missing my class, I got up a little after eight, which really isn't the usual hour I get up and knowing that I technically didn't have to get up that early, it bugged me. Class started at eleven, so three hours of just sort of playing on the computer, doing nothing. Finally the time rolled around for me to leave my dorm though, so trecking from my hall to the building that held my class I attempted to find my class, I found it right away, however I didn't realize it since the three I'd written in my planner looked like a seven, so I was looking for a room that didn't exist until finally I relooked at the number and realized it was three. 6
My first class was American Politics which I know I'm going to love since I love studying government and politics and all that jazz. Professor was nice, told us about what was on the syllabus and that was the extent of our class other than telling us about a program he held, which unfortunately I can't join until I'm a junior or senior. 7
Class ended and a couple of us met up at the front of class and talked with him about a first year group we were in. Basically it'll get us out of the classroom and allow us to learn first hand, which I'm really looking forward to. 8
I had Intro to Justice Studies after this, where we once again went of the syllabus and told the Prof where we were all from and what our majors were. Suprisingly enough not many in there were actually Justice Studies majors. I'm one of those few who are.
Met up with a friend from high school after the class for lunch. Told her about this guy who's in this first year group I'm in and how we talked a littled. She was trying to figure out if she knew him or if he was a friend of ours' roommate. 9
I got back to my dorm and out of curiosity looked him up, turned out he wasn't this guy's roommate, but he did however go to church where my family and I had gone for awhile, which I found really exciting. 10
Until Math class rolled around life was pretty unexciting, just copied terms from my "Introduction to Criminal Justice" book for my Intro to Justice Studies class. Then the time for Math rolled around and I walked to that building where once again my writing was sloppy and I couldn't quite read the number I'd written down. Was early to class and by the time class was meant to start came, there was no Prof. Rule is prof's fifteen minutes late you can leave, he was ten minutes late and we couldn't leave. 11
Now nine-thirtyish and continuing to type up terms, unfortunately and still have to read the chapter. 12

I think Thursdays are going to be my worst days, basically since, unlike every other day, I have to get up at 8:30 to be in my First Year Expirience course, by 9:15, it's ugly, plus today it was raining, walking from building to building in the rain, not fun, at all, even if it's just a drizzle, it's still cold, wet rain. Other than that had basic Tues/Thurs courses, Intro to Justice Studies, then American Politics, and then later today Math, which I still have to do the homework for, but it'll get done. 14
Most exciting thing to happen so far is the semi-cute guy, whom I have a couple classes with, turned out to the annoying kid, who I had issues with, he didn't know I had issues with him, but I did, from my old church, creepiest thing on earth, at this point anyways. 15
Eating breakfast/lunch now, at 2:40 since I kind of ran out the door without getting a bite to eat early this morning. Took about a half hour, or so it seemed, to get the stupid sandwich, it's good though. So after a long, sort of stressful morning, I can "relax" and do math homework and then go to a Late Night Bible Study. Oh, and I have to miss a mandatory floor meeting since I'll be in class, that'll be fun explaining to the RA, especially since her door's closed at the moment. Oh well.

I really liked reading this. Not only because it gave me an insight into your life, which was what this contest was all about, but because I am in the UK it was nice to see what college life is like for you guys. My college days are over now and they sound quite different from yours, but yours do sound fun! I would have liked to have seen a couple more entries maybe but I understand people maybe didn't have enough time. That sounds like some really interesting subjects you will be studying and I hope you enjoy them!
Thanks for your entry and for sharing a few days in your life with me!

For whatever reason, I thought this was an actual contest and I was looking around for what you have to do for the contest and so on and so forth lol..it's a little late..that's probably why..
Anyway, the diary entry was very simple and straightfoward. I almost loved hearing about your day at college because all my friends went off to college and next year I'm going for screenwriting and to hear such a positive light on a writing class is awesome.
However there were a few mistakes..
"After that I went to the Student Center to try to exchanged a shirt"
-"after that" needs a comma at the end and exchanged should be exchange
-"Man the lines in the story were crazy." Story should be story.
Otherwise, a very pleasant read
