Patent memories rushed through my mind as the light diminished before my eyes, and I thought blissfully, that this was my happiest end.3
"Ria!" I heard Stephen shout, and then he quietly added, "No, I think...I think she's going..." I couldn't hear what they were mumbling around me, and didn't care, I was going to my home away from home and it would feel so good to hold that light between my fingertips, if only, if only Steve would let go of my hand...4
"Ria! Don't go - I, I want to know. What do you want to be remembered for?"5
I didn't have to think, but somehow it came to me, and I happily declared what it was, my proudest moments of my life:6
"I want to be remembered...For being Ria: the writer, the artist, the lover, the friend, the person who was meant to change the world; and succeeded..."
