Second Section: Sample Scene17
[The book is normally in a different POV, but for this sample scene, it will be in Saeran's POV.]18
My cold, bare back faced the open window as I glided to her bedside. I watched as Edaline's chest rose and dropped rhythmically. My eyes caught glimpse of her hand that lay, waiting for me when I returned from hunting. I sat gently on the wooden floor, and carefully caressed her hand. My cold fingertips barely grazed the inside of her palm when she said my name.19
"S...Saeran?" Her voice rang in my ears. That voice was meant to say my name.20
My ice blue eyes followed up her forearm to meet hers. She was instantly entranced by the way my eyes glowed in the moonlight. They were the moonlight, she told me once.21
"Saeran..." She looked at me wearily. "What are you doing here? I thought you were out--?" I placed a finger to her lips, quieting her. 22
"Yes, but I am fine for tonight. I came back early. Sorry to have kept you waiting..."23
Edaline took the same hand I touched before, and placed it on my cheek. The sudden wave of warmth electrified me bone-deep. Her hand ruffled through my jet-black hair, making me weak. Even by her slightest movement, her scent filled me. The scent I hoped I'd always have by my side. Though I had all of time, she did not. Yet, I still hoped to have her by my side as long as she should live.24

Thank you for entering the contest 'Novels - Your Character' - I hope the contest has helped you understand your character better.

Saeran appears to be a slightly different vampire - he is born rather than made or forced to take on that mantle. Your take on vampirism is also different to popular culture - that it is a genetic condition rather than a parasistic sysle infection. I liked the sample scene that you provided.
