Red Lipstick, Passionate Roses, Hot Coffe.

Nothing is quite what it seems
Tea’s gone cold, eyes too tired
Water pouring, mind gone wild
Without music it’s too quiet1

She hits the radio switch
Swings it the right way
Opens up her kingdom
And she lets the music play2

Like a rose petal
Laying on her bed
She’s trying not to
Let her feelings rain3

Eyes are watering
Despite her silent protest
Mascara swims away
Cheeks gone red
She wishes he was dead.4

The next day she wakes up
Looks into the mirror
At her dirty face
and gorgeous curly hair5

She makes a little face
Blows a kiss,
adjusts the fringe
And looks like she doesn’t care6

A little bit of cotton pad
Delicate eye make up remover
And just as everyday
She looks like a star
Found in the middle of nowhere7

She puts her favourite jeans on
And walks out into the rain
Her mom shouts something
Ending with umbrella
She shrugs and waves goodbye
A fresh new day
The sky’s so gray
She wishes
she could fly
far far far away.8

Coffe shop just opens
The boy is late again,
She told him clearly
I’ll wait five minutes
Then I’m walkin away9

A silhouette appears
From around the corner
With a bouqet of roses
Hi, he welcomes her shyly
Come in, it’s cold.10

Too shy to refuse
She accepts the roses
And blushes when his lips
Brush her cheeks,
So softly, it couldn’t be real.11

The smell of coffe
Surrounds the lonely cafe
Morning streets start filling up
And he’s apologizing
For everything, explaining
This was the last time.12

She’s not listening anymore
Caught up in the beauty
Of the gloomy rainy street
Watches the people
Young and old,
Happy and sad
Fast and slow.13

She gives him one look,
Her black liner,
gives her this cat attitude
Passionate red lips
Like the roses she’s holding
And carefuly yet surely
She says,
“It’s over Tom, it’s over now”.
