Don't Answer The Door - Ch. 9

Eva stared at the closed door that her father just exited. She was confused, she didn't know what he was doing there. She seemed to be lost in her own mind, questions and thoughts running through her mind.2

"What was my dad doing here?" Eva asked, a little suspicious.3

"He came to tell me something." Was his reply. It was a cold reply.4

Eva came down the stairs and stood behind Alex. She wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his back. Sighing loudly as they just stood there, not saying a word.5

"He's gone too. Why is he doing this to me?" Alex asked himself. He didn't seem to be asking Eva, just himself.6

"Why is he taking everyone that means something to me?" He asked once again. 7

Alex was staring at nothing. His eyes glazed over as he remembered things from his childhood. 8

He was only 10 when it happened. It was dark, in the middle of the night when there was a loud knocking on the door. No one seemed to be answering the door, so Alex got out of his little bed and went to answer the door. Before he reached it, the door was kicked in. A bunch of masked men in uniform came rushing in through the doorway. He was terrified, for he never saw men dressed like this before. What were they doing in his home?10

The ten year old Alex had began crying. No one seemed to look at him, they all just left him standing there crying, terrified. Alex noticed something, he noticed three letters. FBI was sewn into the backs of the uniforms of these masked men. What were the FBI doing in his house? He stopped crying, knowing that the FBI wont hurt him. 11

This wasn't the first time he had encountered the FBI. As he stood there in his living room with screaming men all over the place, he remembered that they were there for him when he needed someone the most. When his mother and sister were slaughtered then hung by a noose and found in the dark gloomy basement, he was the one who found them. They had been missing for days. He saw his baby sister, and his once beautiful mother swinging in the air. They were taken away from him.12

As Alex watched the men going upstairs, he began to hear his father screaming. 13

"What are you doing?! You can't do this!" He was yelling at the top of his lungs. 14

The agents were bringing his father down the stairs, handcuffs around his wrists and behind his back. They were taking him away! The ten year old began to crying, he was going to be alone now. 15

"But you can't take him! He's my daddy!" Alex screamed, and began to cry once again.16

The men didn't hear him, and in fact they just pushed him to the side. He watched his dad thrash around, kicking and screaming. They ended up bringing more men to drag him away. They locked him into a van, not a car. Alex cried as he watched his dad go away. One man stayed behind, and this was the same person that was there for him when his mother and sister were found murdered. He picked Alex up and took him into his car, driving away.17

"You did it you bastard! You did it!" Alex screamed, as he began to thrash around.19

Eva was startled. She got away from Alex and saw him kicking the wall, screaming. She was thinking of something to do, but she didn't know what. Eva grabbed his arms and wrapped her arms around him. 20

"Alex! Stop screaming! What's wrong?! Hunny stop!" Eva screamed, only so she could be heard.21

Alex suddenly calmed down. He just stood there once again, and tears began to poor down his cheeks. He was sobbing now. Eva never thought she would see Alex this way, she thought he was strong. She was confused more than ever, because she didn't know what was going on. She did know one thing. From what she had just witnessed, she began to think Alex was disturbed...22
