Officer Ribbly

Only a murderer could drive the way they did on that treacherous night. The wheels of the car were twisting like snakes, always on the move.1

A cloth of clouds smothered the moon, the wind frantically trying to blow them away.  The feeble light shed no answer as to what was happening on the road.2

Ahead, the road shone like a silver ribbon in the moonlight. There was no doubt about it; a nerve-racking atmosphere was beginning to be beckoned with the oncoming winds. The person looked over their shoulder. Good. There was no one following.  Occasionally, they would pullover and step out the door. Stepping over to the boot, they would viciously attack the squirming bundle inside. As it was night, the dark stains on the cloth wrapping the bundle were not visible.3

Soon, they reached a sea of trees worshipping the moonlight. A dark figure stooped out of the car and picked up the bundle. It was small, compared to the figure, as he was at least 7 foot tall. Something inside the sack was squirming, desperately trying to get out. With a malicious punch over the head, the life was snuffed out like a candle. Quickly, and quietly, the man, as his body was too masculine for him to be female, took the spade that he had brought and anxiously started to dig. The ground was hard, not wanting him to pierce the outer surface. Through much toil and strife, finally a deep enough hole was dug. He slowly lowered it down, and in doing so, the sack slipped off.  The moon shone on a blood-ridden face.    4

“Missing you say? Well, no worries, madam, we’ll be right on to the case!” exclaimed the officer, his rosy cheeks glowing in the sun and his double chin wobbling with excitement. He seemed extremely cheery, not at all like the statue-like police officers that usually try to solve cases.5

“Thank you Officer Ribbly, f-for your k-kindness. I just w-wish that she had come home last...” the quivering voice broke off in to loud sobs and she ran in to the house behind her.6

“Okey-dokey, lads, I want you to find all the witnesses for last night. Question them all and find some suspects!” ordered Ribbly. The rest of the force muttered, complained about lack of good officers these days and started looking for witnesses.  7
