“What?” Sam pushed forward some more, leaning in hard so that he and Jacob were chest to chest. Their faces were only a couple inches apart, and Jacob was staring up at him with wide, curious eyes. “What do you want?” 2
“God, Sam,” Jacob breathed, reaching up and circling Sam’s neck with his arms, “I don’t know what I want. I just…God, I just want…” 3
“It’s ok,” Sam smirked, “I know how to take care of you.” 4
“Sam…” 5
“Don’t worry,” Sam said in a low voice, “I will stop on a dime; just ask me to.” 6
“Ah, ok, uh.” Jacob took several deep breaths. 7
“Stop stuttering,” Sam laughed, “it’s so unbecoming of you.” He smiled even wider until Jacob reaches his hand forward and cupped his cheek. The smile instantly shifted to something deeper, something longing and needing. He tilted into Jacob’s palm, rubbing his cheek back and forth lightly, while continuing to stare down at him. His blue gaze roamed Jacob’s face, lingering on his eyes, nose, cheeks, jaw and lips. When Jacob licked over his lower lip nervously, there was a low rumble that sounded from somewhere deep in Sam’s chest. 8
“What was that?” Jacob laughed lightly, his eyes glittering with humor, “Sounded like a cat.” 9
“Jacob?” 10
“What?” 11
“I want you,” Sam said in such a low voice, Jacob wondered if he had actually heard it correctly. “I don’t know if I can wait.” 12
Jacob smiled shyly, “You can.” 13
“Can I kiss you again? Before I go?” 14
“I don’t want you to leave,” Jacob blurted, gripping Sam’s jaw with both hands. 15
“Can’t help that,” Sam smiled, “can I?” 16
Jacob stared at him for what felt like an eternity, his thumbs stroking over the strong jaw he held in his hands. Sam was staring back down at him with a light fire in his eyes, his breaths coming in sharp pulls before pushing back out. He shifted his body and Jacob tilted his chin back as Sam’s hips rocked against his. The noise that came out of Sam when he saw Jacob’s reaction was light, possessive, and had Jacob’s eyes popping back open just to watch his face. 17
“Sam?” he whispered gripping Sam’s shoulders lightly, “God, Sam, just kiss me. Like you own me.” He pulled hard on Sam’s shoulders, watching as he hesitated for only a second, then cried out as Sam’s lips came crashing down over his, a loud moan escaping into Jacob’s mouth. 18
Sam’s hips surged forward again, the fine material of his pants offering little cover to how his body was responding. Jacob could feel every line of him as he moved, and he realized with a force that he wanted this man, or whatever he was, with ever fiber of his being. 19
He was nearly willing to give up everything, just to have Sam gather him up and whisk him away. Sam’s kiss was deep, complete and highly possessive. He explored every corner of Jacob’s mouth, his hands moving up to cup his face so that he stayed in place. Sam pulled back just slightly, letting Jacob’s lower lips slide from between his grip. “Bite me,” Sam growled, lost in what he was feeling. 20
“What?” 21
Sam’s grip tightened on Jacob’s jaw, “Don’t question me.” 22
“Sam,” Jacob reached forward and grabbed him by his shoulders again, joining their eyes. Sam’s were glowing again, that blue nearly iridescent in beauty, and Jacob felt he was drowning in them. 23
Suddenly Sam shot off the bed and stopped just next to the door, “I have to go.” 24
“What?” Jacob scooted to the edge of the bed and began to stand. 25
“No!” Sam shouted, stilling Jacob immediately. “Please. You come any closer and I won’t be stopping, Jacob.” 26
“But,” Jacob looked up at Sam and nearly didn’t care, he almost stood and provoked him to return. He couldn’t do that. He couldn’t be like that. He wasn’t cheap. “You will be coming back?” 27
Sam was quiet as his breathing slowed. 28
“Sam?” 29
“You and I really need to discuss some things. Some things about me. You may not want me after you know them, but for some reason, it seems I care enough to tell you.” 30
“That’s what I …” 31
“Just wait,” Sam said, holding up his hand. “I want to know you. I don’t know why. And I lied when I said it was only sex. I mean, that’s a huge part of it, but there is just something… Shit.” 32
“Hey,” 33
“I have to go,” Sam said from the door, “what’s your number?” 34
Jacob recited his number when Sam pulled out a black cell. “Sam…?” 35
“I’ll call,” Sam said quickly, and then he was gone. Without another word, Jacob was left alone to wonder just what the hell had just happened. 36
