(4) What this song means to me, is a person saying that he is ready now for his life to end, and if it were to end at this moment, he'd have no regrets for what he's done. He is looking back and saying "When it all ends, will we have had our fun, done what we wanted with our lives, and say i tried my best?" and when he says scream your heart out, it makes me think that it says be who you are and nothing more, dont be afraid to hide the real you and be damn proud of yourself, scream it from the rooftops... When your a child you are carefree and so innocent, but if you grow up to fast, then you won't ever be able to "return to the wood" He is looking at his son and remember when he was a child, and innocent and how he wants to return to his days of childhood. When this was written, it was after because his mother died in an accident, after making a phone call to him about how concerned she was for him. These are his feelings towards everything he did to his mother, his regrets and his sorrows, and how he felt like he was unworthy of her love. I like the song, because I too can feel a sorrow from it, just knowing that he cared so much for his mother and she passed away like she did and he was so remorseful. It is something to make you reflect on your life and say "If this person were to die today, would I regret the way I've been treating them?"208

He tells about scenarios in the real word, like young girls who lost a parent and felt like they lacked love and tried to find it through sex. Another boy tried hard to fit in, but remained an outcast, and was depressed, and so he killed himself. It says that no matter who you blame, people are always going to feel the pain, and the world is lying, and people are becoming blind and corrupt. He is saying that there has to be more to life than all this tragedy... I like this song because everyone can relate to it; we all feel pain and we all do wrongs to try and make ourselves feel better, and no matter if you blame us for it, it isn't really entirely our fault.277
