I ran as far away from home as I possibly could. With everything that was happening, I couldn't take it anymore. I packed my bags and now I'm just running all the way to Sadie's house 5 blocks away. I was only on the first block away from home. Four more blocks. I knew I could do it.1
A favorite song of mine was now playing in my head. It was L'Âme Immortelle's "Life will never be the same again". Fresh tears started to well up in my eyes and I had to stop because I couldn't see. At this point I was two and a half blocks towards Sadie's house. The midway point between my house and hers. I walked now, slowly, dreading the moment when I saw a police car looking to take me home.2
