Letter for an unrequinted beloved: Chapter Two

Today I thought of you as they acted your 'father' on stage. If only she knew! If only they all knew. I love you and I don't care.1

I try to keep your identity private, but I'm sure people know. If only they'd look in their hearts and think 'yeah, maybe she likes drinking, but big deal. We all like something' 2

You are so beautiful. I like looking at you, but there's something else. The way you move, the way you act, the way you talk. And if there's any truth in that theory they band about (which there probably isn't) I can't wait for you. You would be so clever, so good.3

So yes, I thought of you today. I thought of your beauty. And one day, maybe we will love each other. Because we're already half way there.4

    beautiful and touching

This is different than most of your poems and I liked it very much. You had me feeling along with you as I read this.
