Four days later, Simi was still camped out at the chalet in Switzerland, eating anything and everything, and waiting for Aiden to talk to her about what was wrong. The first night, Aiden had spent sleeping and healing from the wounds received during the Daimon brawl, and still had some stiffness in her shoulder that she couldn’t get rid of. 1
Trying to be of assistance, Simi offered to help her work it out with some exercise, which ended up with Aiden limping away in pain after a volleyball was returned with a little too much enthusiasm. Finally dragging Aiden to the pool, Simi played in the water while her friend basically moped. 2
Although Aiden appreciated the fact that Simi was around, she had the urge to tell her to go so she could be alone. The only thing was that she didn’t want to be alone. She wanted to be curled up next to a surfer with a sometimes surly disposition, but who she knew cared more than he would admit. 3
Then at times she wished she could just vanish for a while, and not have to deal with anything. When she was first told that their time together would be brief, she had been thinking along the lines of a year or two. The concept of three hundred years was not one she had ever considered. A time period like that, although not long for Savitar, could be half a lifetime for someone like her. Not that spending it with him would be bad, but she got a headache when imagining what the time would be like. 4
If it was anything like the past two years, she was tempted to run and never look back. But… in those years, there had been a lot of moments of pure joy and honesty shared with Savitar. To have three more centuries of that was something she would sign up for in a heartbeat. 5
“You still looks troubled.” 6
Glancing up at the sing-song voice, Aiden forced a smile to her face. “Just thinking,” she said, averting her gaze to fall over the water in the pool Savitar had created. She could have easily removed it, but found a sort of solace here.7
“Can you tell the Simi what yous thinking?” Simi asked. “Please?”8
Maybe she was ready to talk… and maybe she was ready to scream in aggravation and bang her head against a wall in some vain attempt to forget. “This pool,” she said, not looking at Simi. “Savitar could have easily created it… but he didn’t. He asked for my permission first.”9
Simi’s face screwed up slightly as she tried to decipher that. Sometimes people were hard for her to understand. “Maybe,” she said slowly. “Savvy is showing yous that he can care about your feelings?” 10
“I know he cares,” Aiden replied. “He just… he cares a bit more for other things instead, and thinks nothing of using my feelings to get what he wants.” 11
“But, he did give a little on the asking,” Simi pointed out. “The feelings thing isn’t nice, and he shouldn’t do that, but…” She paused as if considering something, the words from her conversation with Savitar going through her mind. “Well, the Simi doesn’t know the ‘but’ part, but another ‘but’ part would be that I think Savvy feels bad when he does somethings like that to you, and he has to fight to gain your trust back.” 12
Aiden considered her friend’s words. “I think I may need some time to think about this,” she finally said. “Maybe travel…find out what kind of person I’ve pushed aside over the past century.”13
“That coulds be a good idea,” Simi said carefully. “Maybe yous could try something else, too.”14
Looking at her, Aiden smiled lightly. “Like what?” 15
“Talks to Savvy.”16
“I will,” she replied with a smile, then stood. “Not that I’m complaining, but shouldn’t you be getting back to Ash?”17
Simi shrugged. “Akri’s planning to go to some Archie-logical show with someone who founds a diary or something they say is from Atlantis.”18
Archie-logical? “Archaeological?” Aiden suggested. 19
“Probably,” Simi said with a dismissive wave of her hand. “All I knows is that if Akri didn’t wants people snooping, then he shouldn’t have told the Simi to help.”[1] 20
Blinking slowly, Aiden stepped from her chair. “I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about… and I think that may be a good thing.” Putting a hand on Simi’s shoulder, she leaned in close. “Time to go, Simi. Give Ash a hug for me.” 21
“Okay,” Simi said, not the least bit insulted at being told to go. “See yous in a while. And remember… take time, give time, and never forget what’s important.” With that, she vanished. 22
Staring at the spot where Simi had been, Aiden thought about how apt the demon’s parting words were. Take time. Savitar had taken the time to ask Aiden for permission for the pool. That little thing had meant a lot, since he wasn’t the type to ask for permission on anything. 23
A thought crossed her mind, and before she could amend it, she changed her clothes to the skimpiest bikini she could think of. Facing the water, she inhaled deeply, and remained where she stood. Frowning, she tried again, sighing when her feet wouldn’t cooperate by leaving the security of solid ground. 24
Crouching, she turned and slid in to the water, keeping her arms on the side for support. It wasn’t that she didn’t like water. She liked it fine... in eagle form. Human structure and water just didn’t mix for her. She never could figure out just why it was that way, but knew that any reason should be able to overcome… she just had to have the right incentive.25
And the possibility of ‘take time, give time, and never forget what’s important’ was the plausible incentive. Taking a deep breath, she pushed her self away from the side of the pool. Panicking slightly when she couldn’t feel the bottom, she was a heartbeat away from phasing herself to the shore when she forced herself to be calm. 26
“I can phase to home whenever I want,” she told herself. “Even under water.” Slightly calmer, she rolled so she was floating on her back. Nervousness was still there, but it was kept at bay by the knowledge that she could easily leave at any time. 27
Sav? She thought, sending her voice out over the cosmos. 28
Yeah, babe? His voice came back almost immediately, sounding genuinely pleased to be talking with her. 29
Can you come see me?30
Be right there.

The alarm clock jolted him from a deep sleep, and it took Dom a few seconds to figure out just what the noise was. Sighing in annoyance, he reached across a still sleeping Angie and slammed his hand on the clock. 33
“Ang?” he said in a low tone. 34
“Time is it?” she mumbled back. 35
“Seven in the morning,” he told her, his body still lingering over hers. 36
“Too early.”37
“You’re tellin’ me. What’d you set the alarm for?”38
She shrugged as she snuggled closer to his body, making him instantly hard. “Dunno. Some early morning lovin’, maybe.”39
Dom smiled as her hand went below the blankets. “Well, in that case…” Putting most of the weight on one arm so he wouldn’t put pressure on her ‘baby bump’, he carefully lowered his torso, kissing her neck as his own hand went under the blankets. 40
“How about in two weeks?” Angie asked, moving in rhythm to his fingers. 41
“For what?” he replied in a preoccupied voice as his lips moved from her neck to her chest.42
“Getting married.”43
Oh, sweet…. “Can we discuss this later?” he said gently. Frowning in confusion as her hand left its stroking of him, he clenched his jaw when she rolled off the bed. 44
“Why are you avoiding getting married?” she demanded. 45
“I’m not,” he said carefully. Sighing as she walked away, he shifted painfully on the bed. “You’re kind of leaving me in a hard situation, here, “ he said, motioning to the area below his waist.46
“You’re a big boy. I’m sure you can handle it.”47
He cringed at the emphasis she put on the word ‘handle’. “Fine,” he sighed. “I promise to sit down with you, tonight, and discuss the wedding.”48
Smiling sweetly, she came back to the bed. “That wasn’t so hard now, was it?”49
”No,” he admitted. “But I still am.” 50
“Let me remedy that,” she said, pushing him back on to the bed and straddling his midsection. 51
Two hours later, and fully clothed, they walked out of the bedroom. “Remember the promise,” Angie whispered. 52
Grabbing her hand, Dom swung her into an embrace. “I’ll marry you anytime, anyplace, anywhere,” he said sincerely. 53
“Really?” Angie breathed.54
He nodded. “Just club me over the head, and you can drag me wherever your beautiful heart desires.” 55
Crinkling her nose at him, she narrowed her eyes. “Don’t…tempt me.” 56
A deep kiss cut off any other retorts and left Angie smiling and wanting to drag him back in to the bedroom for another round of mattress aerobics. Moving closer to him, she rubbed against his hip, smiling at the hardness that accompanied the sensation. 57
Taking a step back while still kissing her, Dom pivoted so that her back was against the doorframe. Not wasting any time, his free hand deftly undid the top to her pants and slipped in to caress her as she stroked him through his jeans. 58
Just when he was contemplating either hoisting her into his arms to carry back to the bed, or doing her right there against the doorframe, the telephone rang. Dragged from his decision, he ignored it as he continued to caress her. The phone rang again, this time accompanied by a vibrating sensation in his pocket, which brought an amused arched look from Angie.59
“You’re vibrating,” she said playfully. 60
Sighing, he pulled the cell phone out with one hand, as he continued to rub her with his other. Flipping it open, he brought it to his ear. “What?” Listening for a moment, he frowned. “Well, yes, I am rather busy at the moment …… In the midst of a little foreplay with my fiancée, not that it’s any of your business.” 61
Turning bright red, Angie moved her hand from his crotch. 62
“Aw, great,” Dom growled in the phone. “You just ruined the mood. Might as well screw the entire day up.” Flipping the phone closed, he slipped it back in his pocket, then gently secured the top to Angie’s pants. “We’ll continue this later,” he promised, kissing her. 63
Stepping back as someone cleared their throat, he glared at the newest arrival. “At least you called,” he said tersely. “I’ll give you that much. What do you want?” 64
Annoyed beyond belief at his attitude, Roan glared for a few moments as she worked to get her temper under some sort of control. Honestly, if she hadn’t absolutely needed him for anything, she would be zapping his arrogant, irritating ass to cinders. Not finding the control she needed, she centered on Angie. 65
“I need to speak with Dominic,” Roan told her. “Privately.”66
Keeping the annoyed look off his face, Dom smiled at Angie. “It won’t take long,” he said. 67
“Okay,” Angie said, not overly amused and worried about the topic the conversation would cover. “Don’t do anything because you feel it’s right. Do it because you want to.”68
“I promise.” Giving her a nod, Dom watched as she walked down the steps, then he faced Roan. “What?” he snapped.69
”Your attitude seriously sucks.”70
”Don’t give a shit.”71
“Obviously.” Roan dragged an impolite gaze over him. “I require you to face Labeve again.”72
“Convince me.”73
That took her off guard. “Pardon?”74
“You need me to face her,” Dom said easily. “I need you to convince me why I should.”75
“Besides the fact that she kills pregnant women?”76
“I’m sure there are far worse demons around,” he countered. “And if she was easy enough to kill just by me facing her, then I highly doubt there’d be some near conspiracy about the fact.”77
Pulling her eyebrows together, she studied him. As usual, his mind was closed to her prying. 78
“I’ll save you the trouble,” he said, perversely enjoying pissing off someone that could kill him with a thought. “If it was important enough for me to do this, then why would one omnipotent surfer be adamant about me not doing so?”79
Well, hell. Keeping her annoyance in check, Roan smiled lightly. “Because he has his own agenda with things, and doesn’t like people stepping in.”80
“Hm,” Dom offered thoughtfully, letting his thoughts wander briefly.81
Immediately seizing the opportunity and going through his thoughts, Roan searched for something to use to sway him. The conversation with Aiden both annoyed and intrigued her. It would figure that Savitar had orchestrated things to make others do his bidding in an attempt to get what he wanted. Right there, Roan paused to wonder just why he wanted her to use Dom. 82
Going further through his memories, she happened upon a certain vision he’d had…one that was bothering him even now. Knowing that maybe he would listen if she explained it to him, she pulled out of his mind without him even noticing. 83
“The vision,” she said. 84
“What about it?” Dom asked, not as pissed off as he should have been for her prying during his lapse in concentration. 85
“It’s yours and Angie’s grave markers, and your adult son is looking at them. Since your birth name is Marcus, it’s a visualization of you coming full circle in life and death. The larger angel is Angie, since you see her that way… the angel that saved your life.”86
“That would mean that Angie survives this,” he said, relief coursing through him at the revelation. 87
“She could,” Roan said. “Then again, she may not. It would greatly depend on your willingness to help.” 88
If it saves Angie, then I’m there. 89
“Are you going to help?”90
Yes. “Get lost.” Blinking in surprise, Dom stared at her. Huh? What?
“Are you sure?” Roan asked darkly.91
No! “Positive.” Confused, he looked at the floor. 92
Sensing the uncertainty in him, Roan narrowed her eyes as she watched him. His mind was telling him one thing, while his stubbornness was giving a completely different answer. All he needed was something to push him to her side, and then she could finally take a rest from hunting Labeve to the ends of the earth and back. 93
“I’ll return later,” she said gently, then vanished.94
Rubbing his hands over his face, Dom exhaled at the way that had played out. Lifting his head to look at the ceiling with a small sigh, he suddenly realized that he felt a lot calmer than he had in a long time… centuries in fact. Shaking his head with a small laugh, he headed for the steps so he could go find his future. 95
~~~~~~~~~~~~96
~~~~~~~~~~~~97
Happier than he wanted to admit at hearing her voice, Savitar hopped off the surfboard and shoved it in to the sand. The past few days had been a little too quiet, and he filled the void with surfing, surfing, and more surfing. He knew that Aiden had to come to terms with her anger at him, and kept away so she could do just that. 98
He’d almost stepped in when she encountered the Daimons, and had even appeared not far from her in a shadow form, ready to act had she needed the help. Proud that she had been able to handle it on her own, he faded away so that she wouldn’t think he was spying on her. Not that he was, but it was kind of hard for an omnipotent being to not know everything that was going on… especially with someone he cared for. He may have made a sort-of promise to her about not being nosey, and he mainly kept to it; except for times when her life was in danger. Then, all promises, bets and vows were off. The Daimons definitely fell under that category.99
Changing his outfit to the prerequisite beach clothes, he quickly located Aiden and vanished from his beach. Slightly surprised that she would be at the pool, Savitar appeared near the chairs. Not seeing her, her turned at a sound, and froze. 100
Dressed in a ‘barely there’ bikini, she looked hotter than hot, a fact that didn’t escape Savitar’s eye. Since Aiden never swam, she would either lounge on the beach in a small halter dress, or in nothing at all. The bikini added another facet to her and he was enjoying it immensely on an entirely primal level. 101
It took a moment for him to drag his eyes from the suit and he realized that her hair was wet. “Were you swimming?” he asked in slight disbelief.102
“I’m not talking to you,” she said, turning her back to him and going to the chair at the side of the pool. 103
“What’d I do this time?”104
“You counted on me being me, and used that to your advantage.”105
“Yeah,” he said slowly, not wanting to get drawn into that argument. “I’m going to go.”106
“Stay.”107
“Why?”108
”Because,” Aiden said, suddenly appearing in front of him. “I want you to sit here, and suffer through me being angry with you.”109
“Why would I want to do that?” he asked, confusion evident. 110
“Because I asked you to,” she said, her voice so quiet that he nearly missed it. 111
A refusal was on the tip of his tongue, but he held back. It obviously meant a lot to her that he stay. Calmly walking past her, he made his way to one on the beach chairs and lowered his body in to it. 112
“May I read a book while I suffer?” he asked.113
“Knock yourself out,” she said, easing herself into the chair beside his. “Just… sit there and don’t bug me for a while.”114
“Fine,” he sighed.115
“Promise?”116
”Yeah, yeah.”117
Nodding in satisfaction, she settled back. Using her magick, she created a bowl of strawberries and a bowl of thick cream. Out of the corner of her eye she watched Savitar stare as she took a berry, dipped it in the cream then brought it to her mouth. 118
He blinked in surprise as her bikini top vanished, and could only stare as she reached for another strawberry. His eyes tracked her hand from the bowl to her mouth, gasping gently as a drop of cream fell off and landed between her breasts. Feeling extremely turned on, Savitar nearly moaned out loud as Aiden dabbed the cream off her skin with her finger, and then slowly licked it off the digit.119
Giving him a warning glance, Aiden settled back in her beach chair, placed her arms loosely at her side and closed her eyes. She could hear the change in his breathing, and knew that he was still staring at her. 120
Gritting his teeth in annoyance, Savitar tried to pull his eyes away from staring at her. He knew what she was doing, and he didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of proving her right. He wasn’t interested in her only for her body. That might have been high on his list at the moment… the apex in fact, but it wasn’t the only thing about her that turned him on. 121
The sunlight filtering through the trees caressed her bare skin with small symbols, almost like the sky was kissing her flesh. Finally managing to pull his gaze away, he leaned back slowly in the chair and stared out at the water. She was angry with him for using her. He could appreciate and understand that. But this? To be half naked, eating strawberries and cream, and making him promise not to bug her…it was cruel and unusual punishment. 122
Well, she had one thing right… he was suffering. 123

Dom found Angie sitting on the farthest bench on the property, shaded by an elm tree. She had her legs up on the bench, with one of his guitars resting on it as she skimmed through a book beside her.126
Glancing up guiltily as he approached, she closed the book and moved it behind her. “Hi, Sweetie.”127
”Hi, Ang,” he replied, moving his head slightly as he tried to see the title of the book. “Whatcha doin’?”128
She sighed and took the book out. “Guitar for Dummies,” she said. “I wanted to learn something to play for you at the wedding.” 129
His stomach tightened slightly, but he kept his expression calm. The thought of getting married again was harder than he originally thought it would be… even though he had been the one to propose to her after they found out she was expecting. 130
“I know you’re nervous about getting married,” she said, which made him once again wonder just who had the precognition here. “So I wanted to do something to put you at ease.” 131
“I’m not nervous,” he said. “More like freaked out.” Sitting beside her, he took the guitar and absently tuned it while he stared at the ground. “I’m not worried about marrying you,” he clarified. “I think I would be the luckiest man alive to be with you. It’s just one more thing that I’m afraid the fates are going to go déjà vu all over and I’ll lose you.” He smiled and looked at her. “Live for today, right?”132
“Cause it’s the only thing we know we have,” she said, completing a phrase he told her once. “Play me something.” 133
Surprised, Dom started to decline, but stopped. “What the heck. Let me think of a good song.” 134
Angie recognized the devil glint in his eye a moment before he started strumming, and she blinked at the rock riff that came from him. Although his voice was strong and rich, she couldn’t help but shake her head at the words.135
“Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go, I wanna be sedated,” Dom sang. “Nothin' to do and no where to go-o-oh, I wanna be sedated.” He stopped playing as she narrowed her eyes. “No Ramones?”136
“No Ramones,” she agreed. 137
“I Wanna Be Sedated is a classic,” he pointed out, then sighed. “Okay. I have a song. It’s not easy, but it’s also not hard. Watch my fingers, and if you want, I’ll teach it to you later.” 138
Angie pulled her gaze away from his face, transferring it to his fingers. She looked back at his face when soft strumming came from the guitar, the tune distinctly that of Jim Croce’s Time in a Bottle. This time, when he started singing, his voice was low and held an honesty in it that brought tears to her eye. 139
She stared at him the entire time he played, and continued staring as he finished. “That was beautiful,” she whispered. “You’re perfect.”140
Smiling lightly, he looked from the ground, and into her eyes. “The only thing perfect about me is you.” 141
A tear slipped from her eye as she leaned towards him for a kiss. Letting the guitar slip to the ground, Dom brought his hand up to touch the side of her face, pulling back with a groan as the cell phone started vibrating in his pocket. 142
“It’s a frigging conspiracy,” he said, flipping the top to the phone up and answering it. “Yes?”143
“Up for some babysitting tonight?” Craig asked.144
Dom lowered the phone and looked at Angie. “Up for watching Amy tonight?”145
“Always,” Angie said. “She’s such a beautiful baby.”146
“Well, she is a descendant of mine,” Dom reminded her with a smirk before he brought the phone back up. “No prob. Bring her over whenever you want.” He flipped the phone shut, and leered at her. “Now where were we?”147
“You were going to tell me what Roan wanted.”148
That was a definite mood killer for Dom. “I was?” he asked, confused. Sighing when she gave him a look that promised a cold night for him if he didn’t tell, he ran his hands over his face. “First, I gotta tell you that these topic changes and mood swings of yours are driving me crazy.”149
“Your admission has been logged and noted,” she said in a playful tone. 150
“She wanted me to stand against Labeve,” he told her, seeing the fear in her eyes that the words brought. “I told her no.” 151
“Why not?” Angie bit her lip. “I mean, I know why not, and I’m really glad you’re not going to be facing that thing, but if it means getting rid of her…?”152
“I wanted to say yes,” he said, still confused at why he didn’t. “Even after she told me the real reason for the vision I had, I still couldn’t make my mouth agree.”153
“Vision?” Leaning forward slightly, Angie studied his face. “The one about the crib from about a week ago?” 154
He nodded slowly. “I had a vision that I was standing in front of two grave markers with your name on one and Marcus on the other.” Exhaling as the original emotions surfaced at the sight, he paused for a moment. “I was sure I was seeing you and our child’s graves.”155
Putting arms around him, Angie maneuvered so he could lean his body back against hers. “That’s why you’ve been distant.”156
Nodding, he inhaled in contentment at the feel of being in her arms. “Roan told me the truth of the vision… and it’s clearer now. It’s your marker, and mine… and it’s our grown son looking at them instead.”157
Gasping sharply, Angie smiled at his back. “Our son?”158
“What?” Dom straightened and pulled away so he could look at her. “I didn’t think about that.” His smile mirrored hers. “A son.” 159
~~~~~~~~~~~~160
~~~~~~~~~~~~161
His eyes rarely left her body all afternoon as his mind imagined scenario after scenario of what he could be doing to her. Aiden stretched lightly in her chair, arching her back in a way that made Savitar’s groin ache even more… if such a thing were possible.162
She was enjoying making him suffer. He could tell. He could also tell that he was about to do a lot more before the day was over, although he couldn’t quite pinpoint exactly when. 163
“Have I suffered enough?”164
Glancing to the side, Aiden gave a small smile before standing. “Few more minutes,” she told him. Walking to the end of the pool, she inhaled deeply, then dove in. Surfacing, she turned to find Savitar staring at her intently. 165
Completely turned on, Savitar watched as she swam back to the edge, and slowly raised her body out of the water. Dripping wet and half naked, she was about the most enticing things he’d ever had the pleasure of seeing. Honestly, for someone that was used to taking what he wanted, when he wanted, the hardness of his body was reaching a torturous level. 166
“You’ve suffered long enough,” she said, then vanished.167
Quickly following, Savitar appeared behind her in the living room of her chalet. She was still half dressed and dripping water. Giving him an arched expression, she placed hands on her hips and waited. 168
That one movement completely undid any restraint he had built up while ogling her all afternoon. Taking a step toward her, he hesitated as she took a step back and gave him a coy smile. 169
“Do you know what I did?”170
“Besides make me hard all afternoon?”171
“Besides that,” Aiden said as she let her gaze slide over his body. 172
Savitar tried to remember, a hard feat since his body was throbbing, but he finally came to the conclusion. “You wanted met to suffer for manipulating you,” he said lowly. Dipping his head down, he nuzzled her hair for a few moments. “Point made,” he said. “I’ll try to keep from manipulating you in the future.” 173
Try? Figuring that was the best she'd ever get from a being like him, Aiden decided to accept it… for now. She couldn’t exactly expect him to change completely after eons of acting a certain way. Taking another step back so her shoulder was against the wall, she reached out and pulled him forward. 174
More than ready to experience every inch of her body, he pressed against her, hands cupping her breasts as his mouth went for hers. His face registered surprise as her fingers came up to cover his lips and stop him in his tracks.175
“What? What? What?” he asked, exasperated.176
“I require one little thing,” she purred in his ear, her tongue teasing the very tip.177
Shivering slightly, he looked at her. “What do you want? The moon? The stars? Immortality? Tell me, and it’s yours.”178
“Don’t let Angie or Dom die because of Labeve.”179
Growing still, he looked at her. “That’s it?” 180
“That’s it.”181
“Done.” 182
Smiling, Aiden leaned in close, kissing his lips, then continued to his jaw line. Closing his eyes in contentment, his fingers wove through her hair as her lips trailed a path from his jaw down his chest and towards his waist. There was a slight annoyance somewhere in the back of his mind that he had allowed someone to have an effect on him at such an intimate level, but he was more than willing to squelch that uncertainty. For now.183
Unable to hold back, he moved slightly, causing Aiden to look up at him. Crouching low, he leaned against her, bringing her body to rest on the floor where he covered her flesh with his. 184
Almost immediately, legs were around his hips as he slid up and down her body, lips firmly entrenched on hers. She always tasted so wonderfully genuine that it made his pulse race each and every time he experienced her.185
Smiling against her lips as her powers started to hum and crackle through the air around them, he quickened his pace as it fueled not only her magick, but his as well. There was just something so erotic about being with someone strengthened by sex that he couldn’t help but want to give all that he had just so she could be all that she could. 186
Without warning, an alarm went through his mind, making him stop in surprise. Damn it! Nothing ever goes as planned. Clenching his jaw at what was about to happen, he pulled out and sat back in regretful anger. 187
“What?” Aiden asked, picking up on his mood.188
“I’ll be back,” he said, giving her a quick kiss as clothes appeared on his body. “I promise.”189
Confused as he vanished, the emotion quickly morphed in to a hurt that made her chest ache. Dressing with a thought, she lay on her back, staring up at the fan on the ceiling, watching as the blades spun round in a lazy circle. 190
“Don’t assume the worst,” she whispered. “There’s a good reason why he left in the middle of-“ her voice breaking, Aiden clenched her eyes shut, surprised she had no tears to shed. 191

Interesting. Ever notice that your main characters tend to have the same things going on in their lives at around the same time? Like, if one gets hurt, it's mirrored in the god world, or if one gets laid, it's morrored there, too. (kinky, really
). I bet you have a reason for this!!!!
And, uh... hot chapter... whew. But what's up with the end part? Why would Savitar leave?

Ah, you noticed
It shows that things are sort of level all over, and that problems mirror in areas that can affect both sides of the 'myth/reality'
