Midnight Passion – Prologue

How many people can say that they have been kidnapped by vampires and had their younger sister and best friend rescue them? Not many I suppose but, unfortunately for Karin, Aya, and Yuri, they can. This is a story of vampires, lies, betrayal, passion, and love…all during Spring Break. Unbelievable? Believe it. 1

“GIRLS! Come down I need to speak with you two.” Cried an older woman in her mid 40’s. It was about 5 o’clock on a Friday after noon. The kids had been out of school and were ready for Spring Break to begin. After a few seconds, two girls came down to the kitchen where the older woman called. 3

“Yes mom?” answered Karin; a girl with long dark blue hair with violet eyes, and behind her was Aya; her younger sister who had short light brown hair with blue eyes who was currently wearing her school’s uniform.4

“Karin, Aya, your father and I have to go out of town this Spring Break because of work. So starting Sunday early morning you two will have the house to your selves-”5

“Well technically, it’ll be us three, you forgot about our little bro.” answered a bored Aya.6

“Hmp! Well if you would have let me finished then I would have been able to tell you that your little brother will be spending the week over at your cousin’s house.” The girl’s mother always hated Aya interruptions or her sarcastic remarks.7

“When are you guys returning home?” Karin asked hoping to change the atmosphere around her mom and Aya.8

“I’ll be returning either Friday or Saturday night. But your father will return Friday night.”9


: Sunday Morning:10

Both girls said their good byes as they gave a hug to each family member.11

“Bye girls, try not to spend too much money while we’re out, okay?!” the girls’ father said waving goodbye and heading out of the drive way.12

“Wow, Spring Break all to ourselves heck yea!” cheered a joyful Aya.13

“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have to clean up the house before we do anything fun.” Karin said walking into the kitchen with a depressed Aya dragging along behind her.14

“Aww man.”15

It is now two in the afternoon and the girls have just finished cleaning up their house.16

“Now can we have fun?” Aya said whining to her older sister.17

“Fine! Jeez you can be such a pain sometimes.”18

Aya smiles,”I know. Hey I’m getting hungry, are you?”19

“Yeah, so what do you feel like eating?”20

“How about we go to the mall so we can eat and shop around? The new Shojo Beat is out.”21

“Ok I guess. I better call Yuri before she starts calling us during the week to hang out when we may or may not be able to hang out.” Karin sighed as she took out her cell phone to call her best friend, Yuri; Karin and Yuri have been friends since elementary school and she was one of the close friends who didn’t move out to the state of Texas after graduation. 22

“Hey Yuri! How ya been? ...that’s good to hear well Aya and I were going to the mall in a bit and we were wondering if you would like to join---oh well be careful and say ‘hi’ to your family for us.” 23

“So what happen?” Aya says taking a bite out of a green apple she had in her hand.24

“She said—hey why are you eating when we’re going out?” Karin snatched Aya’s apple right before she could take another bite.25

“Well I’m sorry but when you talk to Yuri I don’t know when you’ll finish your conversation.” Aya tries to snatch back her unfinished apple from Karin’s hand. Karin was to fast for Aya and threw away her apple.26

“Yuri said she was going out of town to visit her family and maybe if they’re lucky the beach. Let’s go before it gets packed. Now where in the world did I leave my wallet and keys?”27

“Argh! Women I swear you should have them pinned to your shirt or something ‘cause you’re always losing them.”28

Karin put her hands in her pockets, “Found them lets go. Oh wait where is my stupid cell pho-“29

“I’ve got it; I knew that you were going to forget them.” Karin grabbed her cell and headed to the car and drove off. Aya was busy alarming and locking up the house. She turns around to see her sisters car missing. She growled as she took out her cell and dialed. 30

“Hey women, did you forgot someone?” Aya said over the phone. A few seconds later Aya sees her sister drive up their drive way with a sorry look on her face.31

Karin laughs nervously “Sorry it took me a while to find out what you meant when you called.”32

“I kind of figured, so don’t worry women lets go I’m hungry.” Karin unlocked the car door, and waited until Aya got in before putting the car in reverse. 33

“By the way, Yuri called. She got into an argument with her father and they left her at the house by herself.”34

“Why do they do that? She their kid too.” Aya crossed her arms. “Gawd pisses me off.”35

“All I know is that I have to go pick her up now.”36

“Oh annoying.”37


: 1 Hour Later:38

“Ahh! Chick-Fil-A is always so filling, no?” Aya said, as Yuri and Karin finished eating. After all the trash was thrown away, the girls decided to head towards the book store which was not that far from the Food Court when Karin’s phone rang.39

(Ring tone is Chang Wufie from Gundam Wing yells) “Are you listening women? Huh? You saw I was a kid and you under estimated me. I don’t kill bleed hearts or women!” Karin answers her cell embarrassed that people were staring at her and wondering who was yelling.40

“Hello? Hi mom, how are you doing?... Oh really! That’s nice. Do you want to talk to Aya?... Sure hold on…. Hey Aya mom wants to talk to you.” Karin handed Aya her cell phone, pretending not to take noticed of Aya rolling her eyes.41

While Aya was distracted on the phone with their mother, Yuri stopped to see a small jewelry stand. Aya stopped next to Yuri still talking on the phone. Karin didn’t notice what was going on and continued walking, out of Yuri’s and Aya’s sight.
Once Aya was finishes speaking with her mother she turns to give Karin her cell back.42

“Here yea go Kar-? Karin where the heck are you now? Yuri, Karin wondered off again.” As Yuri searched for Karin franticly, in the corner of her eye Aya could see Karin with a group of guys around her.43

‘Oh great what did she do now? How many times have I told her about “Stranger Danger”?’ Aya thought this as she approached Karin. When she notices that the guys were taking Karin some where and Karin isn’t resisting, with them showing her a shiny object.44

“Karin!...Karin?!” Yuri turned to see what Aya was yelling about. Both started to run towards the three guys dressed in black. One had beached blonde hair, another one had dark brown hair, and the last had black hair.45

“Hey get back here with my sister!!!!” Aya tries her best to go through the crowd of people around her and is curious why no one is stopping the guys who were stealing her sister.46

“Aya, you go right and I’ll go left, we’ll cover more ground that way. And try to find a security guard to help. I doubt any of these shoppers want to leave their money to help some one they don’t know.”47

Yuri and Aya went their separate ways, getting lost within the crowed. Aya ran towards the direction she saw them go. She was beginning to doubt she was going the right way, when she got a glimpse of a beach blonde hair guy that got her sister. Soon she saw all three of the guys and her sister, who had a dazzled look in her eyes.48

“Hey A-Holes give me back my sister!!” The guys were now entering a store that Aya had never noticed before. Once the guys entered, with a distracted Karin in their hands, a metal door began to close the entrance. The door was large, nothing anything Aya has seen. 49

Aya ran as fast as she could and was able to slide through just before it closes. Aya had just barely made it when the door slammed behind her and she screams from the loud sound.50

“AAAH!” Aya heard another loud sound and covered her head with her hands. “I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m dead, I’m dead…hmm?” As Aya slowly opens her eyes she sees that she is surrounded by darkness and the only light was surrounding her. Once her vision adjusts she notices a group of angry men, they don’t look like the guys who took Karin, but they look mean. 51

Aya nervously chuckled as she slowly stood up and made sure not to touch any of the guys. “Umm…sorry about yelling.” 52

“Let her go.” A deep booming voice could be heard and the angry looking men move away from Aya.53

“Now how may I help you, young lady?” Aya could see a dark shadowed figure stand up from where he was seating and walked up to her, entering the light.54

The dark shadow was a tall, pale handsome man with long silky black hair and seemed to be wearing an all black suit. But the one thing that caught her eyes was the crosses he had hanging round his neck and on his shirts’ sleeve.55

“How may I help you?” The man repeated a bit annoyed now.56

“Umm…yes…ahem…yea, I would like to have my sister back if you don’t mind.” 57

“I’m afraid I can’t do that.” The man said walking away from her.58

“WHAT?! And why not?! I demand you to give me my sister back!” Aya says standing her ground.59

“Demand? Did I hear you correct? You demand me?! I think not, you little wench.”60

“Like I said ‘and why not?’”61

“Because of her blood of course.”62

“Her blood? What do you need her blood for? What are you guys a bunch of vampires?” Aya chuckles slightly.63

“Why yes, yes we are.” The man says coolly.64

“What?” 65

“My subordinates and I are vampires. But I, on the other hand, am THE head vampire and I need your sister blood. Reason being is because she has a pure child-like heart and mind.”66

“Meaning?”67

“The purest blood is that of children. They don’t have a care in the world meaning no stress in the blood stream. Though, it’s quite rare for a human to mature while keeping some of their innocents. And so, I plan on draining all of your sister’s pure blood.”68
