Once upon a time, in the world of Mirathil, in the elven city of Riverpool a queen gavebirth to a beautiful elven boy named Achu. Achu's birth was fortold to theh elves long ago as the king who would put an end to evil forever. He would be known by a silver start birthmark nest to his right eye. For two thousand years the king and Queen has one child after another wating for the child who would be their future high king. When the child and his twin brother were born runners were sent to all the elven kings and queens throughout the world that they would all know of their baby brother's birth.1
Achu grew strong and healthy. He loved to play and he loved to learn. At age three Achu's father began to teach Achu the science of healing for all elven kings are healers. Achu picked up the information he was taught at amazing speed so that by the age of thirteen there was nothing left for anyone to teach him. That was when Achu's father gave Achu a gift passed on only to high kings. Achu was given all the knowledge and wisdome of all the elven kings who had ever lived. This was given to him through a mind meld with his father, and afterwards Achu was silent for almost a month as he processed all the information that was given to him.2
After his month of silence Achu returned to playing with his friends Zachary, Legall, and Atta. The four spent hours in the woods playing games such as blind man's bluff, hide and seek, and other childrens games. To Achu, life seemd like it would be wonderful and perfect forever. Sadly, such was not the case.3

Chapter 15
"Why do you hate trolls and dislike dwarves so much?" Atta asked Achu. Achu lay in the grass and stared up at the deep blueness of the summer sky. Memory came to him as if he was falling into a dream.6
When Zachary and Achu were fourteen they went off exploring alone. When they were ten miles away from riverpool they were caught in a trolls net. The trolls had seen them comming and quickly set up a net so when the boys were in the middle of it the trolls would pull up the corners of the net with ropes. The trap worked perfectly and soon Achu and Zachary found themselves swinging from a tree like a chicken from a butchers hook.7
The trolls brought the boys back to their cave and hung them above a cauldron full of water. Than the trolls began to greedily add spices and potatoes to their cauldron. As the trolls began to light a fire under the cauldron Achu and Zachary began to scream for help.8
"Shut them up." the troll with the matches ordered the other troll. The troll lumbered off to the back of the cave and returned with two apples wich he stuffed into the boys mouths.9
"Now," he said waving a fat finger at them, "you sit quiet or I'll bite your ears off." Than the troll began to poke and pinch them to see how fat they were. One of Achu's arms was outside the net and the troll took this arm, ran his slimey tounge along it than stuck it in his mouth and began to suck on it.10
"Hey!" the other troll cried. "you leave him alone, you'll spoil the flavor!" With that the troll with the matches charged his companion who released Achu's arm in suprise. The two trolls were soon on the ground punching and bighting eachother. Achu and Zacary despratly tried to escape the net as the trolls fought and the water under them began to heat up.11
When the water reached a rolling boil and Achu and Zachary suceeded in nothing but getting more tangled a band of dwarves barged in swinging their axes and shouting war cries. The trolls jumped to their feet in suprise. The one who had been holding the matches charged the dwarves while the other one backed up against the cauldron spilling it all over himself and howing in pain as he was brought down by three dwarves.12
"Now than," the lead dwarf said once Achu and Zachary had been cut free and Achu had washed his arm in a basin near the back of the cave. "This one," he said pointing to Zachary, "is a fair treat. He's young ans strong. But the other one," he said spitting in Achu's direction, "he's to scrawny. He has a runty look about him if you know what I mean. Doubt I'll even get two hundred silver pieces for him."13
"You don't mean to sell us?!" Zachary cried in suprise.14
"'Corse I do! Prisoners of war are always sold as slaves, didn't you learn that in elf school?" the dwarf barked.15
"But the elves and dwarves are at peace, there is no war between us." Achu argued.16
"We are at war against the trolls. You are prisoners of the trolls. We killed the trolls and that makes you our prisoners. Bind their hands!" the chief ordered the other dwarves.17
The dwarves made Achu and Zachary march with them for many hours, until they were several leagues away from riverpool. They halted in a clearing for the night tying Achu and Zachary to a tree. The dwarves ate and drank heavily and than went to sleep keeping no gard on the prisoners thinging them well secured. What they didn't know was that Achu had a small but sharp knife on his belt. Soon the boys were freed. Now dwarves are very heavy sleepers, and elves are very silent creatures. So none of the dwarves noticed their new slaves running off, and it wasn't until morning that they discovered the escape. By than the boys were half way to Riverpool.18
When the boys returned home they were greeted by two sets of very angry parents. The boys tried to explaine what had happened, but the fact that they went off on their own got them punished anyways. Achu recieved ten lashes and than he was locked in a bare room and fed nothing but bread and water for three days. Such was the typical punishment for elven children who misbehaved in those times. Achu learned a harsh lesson, "never go off alone and unarmed."
