Fire Baby

"Hey Roxas, c'mere the baby's kicking." I said smiling bringing a hand to my stomach as the baby growing inside of me moved about. I smiled some seeing Roxas run into the room all but panting as I chuckled.1

"Hurry, its kicking hard to." I said waving Roxas over. My little blond lover gave me his famed why can't you tell me five minutes before look and came over as I took his hand and placed it on my stomach and smiled gasping at the next kick. 2

"Wow, that was a big one." Roxas said smiling as he looked over kissing me running his fingers through my red hair as I lay in our shared bed smiling.3

Almost nine months had gone by, Roxas and I had decided we wanted a family, somehow we both knew it was what we wanted most, and thanks to the ice head Vexen we were soon going to get our little one in just a few short days. So far the whole pregnancy was smooth sailing, aside from the morning sickness, the cramps, and the more dangerous mood swings I tended to have, that either wound up with someone singed, or something just on fire. Mind you it was nothing of value, but other than those pain in the ass things, everything else had gone fairly smoothly. 4

Even when I first felt the baby's kicks and little prods, it was an exciting time for me. Roxas had been on a mission at the time, along with all the other non pregnant members, and by the time Roxas had gotten back I was asleep along with the baby growing inside me. Its funny how at that time I hadn't even heard him walk in, but evidently the baby did, seeing as how it gave a well placed kick to one of my organs waking me from my sleep. 5

Kid was good at that, that was for sure, even going as far as to wake me up in the middle of the night for a midnight snack of pickles and ice-cream, french toast and waffles. Now I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I smiled at Roxas giving him a small kiss and sat up slowly getting out of bed as the baby rolled over in my belly.6

"What was that?" Roxas asked. 7

"Kid rolled over, probably sleepy." I said and looked at Roxas. "What's cooking? I'm starving." I said smiling. 8

"Waffles, pancakes, sasuage bacon and eggs." I heard Roxas say and smiled.9

"Sounds good let's eat." I said rubbing my hands together and went down to the kitchen with Roxas holding his hand, the other on my large stomach where the baby slept.10

Sometime later in the day, I'm not sure when, nor do I even remember what time or when it was, all I knew was that something big was about to happen, that and I had quite a bit of pent up energy to get out, so I did what I normally did and headed down to the training room. Yes I know I wasn't supposed to be down here but this was the only place where I could actually let off some steam, and not harm anything..or anyone for that matter. About an hour or so into the training, my lower back started to ache, I merely dismissed it as one of the run of the mill back ache's I had been having, came with the pregnancy, the back pains. 11

But that didn't stop me from continuing on with my training, as I fought against a few of the flame nobodies. What did stop me...and what caught me off guard was a sharp pain shooting through my stomach as my hand went instinctively to it, a moan escaping my lips as I looked up snapping my fingers quickly as the nobodies disappeared the intense pain bringing me to my knees.12

"Nnn...Its not time for you to come out yet...easy." I said frowning breathing through the pain. 13

Great, just what I needed, to be interrupted during my little training session. That was one thing I didn't need was to be giving birth in here. And as my luck would have it Roxas was on a mission. A small growl escaped my lips as I walked over to one of the pillars and sat down against it moaning holding my stomach as another sharp pain made itself known and I bit back a scream clenching my teeth snapping my fingers again, a bit of flame coming of them as a dusk appeared. 14

"Get Roxas." I managed to growl out feeling the pain slowly get worse as the dusk slithered off and disappeared. 15

I don't know how much time had passed since I sent the dusk to get Roxas...all I knew was that my water had broke and I was starting to feel a lot more pressure, down in my lower area. That and flames all but licked at the edge of the circular training room. The place probably looked like the pits of hell if anyone were to see it right now.16

I soon heard the sounds of a portal closing my eyes a deep and painful scream echoing throughout the room. 17

"Axel. What's wrong?" I heard Roxas call as he ran over.18

"Kid's coming, the hell do you think...Ah hearts! Roxas I have to push..now." I moaned leaning up a bit.19

"Now? Axel not now, just try to hold on a bit longer ok?" Roxas asked.20

"I can't...its coming now and it wants out." I said shaking my head and taking a few deep breaths. "Body's...telling me...mmm to push." I managed to say trying to breathe through the contraction. 21

"Mmm... Alright." Roaxs said as I smiled a bit. "Push with the next one Axel." Roxas said as I nodded crying out in pain and pushed.22

"Good Axel, just like that." Roxas said. 23

"Mmm." I said nodding holding it for a good ten seconds before I let my breath out and pushed again. "See anything?" I asked.24

"Yeah a little bit of red hair...doing great Axel." Roxas said pressing on my stomach a bit. 25

"Nnn...don't do that." I moaned pushing again my eyes widening a bit at the sudden pressure and burning feeling I was getting as I pushed harder screaming in pain leaning back. "What was that?" I asked panting, wiping the sweat from my forehead. 26

"The head's out...its gonna be quite a good size." Roxas said.27

"Now for the shoulder's." I said.28

"Just give me one good push Axel and the shoulders will be out." Roxas said as I nodded leaning up pushing down hard feeling more of our child move out feeling the shoulders being gently brought out as I fell back panting. 29

"Wanna rest a bit?" Roxas asked.30

"Mmm...yeah...nnn..." I moaned trying to lower the flames a bit and frowned when Roxas delivered our baby but the tiny little cry that came afterward never came. 31

Why wasn't our baby crying? What was going on? I looked seeing Roxas clearing our baby's airway as I let out a deep sigh of relief when I heard, the baby, a little girl crying loudly as I smiled a bit the flames soon lowering as Roxas carefully took his cloak off and wrapped her in it, and handed her to me.32

"Its a girl Axel." Roxas said smiling.33

"I see...look she has my hair." I said smiling a few tears rolling down my eyes as I brought a hand to my chest and frowned feeling an odd sensation as I smiled.34

"Roxas." I said as he put a finger to my lips.35

"I know...what are we gonna name her?" He asked.36

"Reka." I said softly and cuddled her.
