I felt Clark's hand slip around my waist as I stopped to look at my surroundings. "I never liked it down here, for a different reason then you I'm sure. Mine was more of my parents forced me to come here every Tuesday at least. You are going to be spending every waking moment here. Well, except of course school hours."2
"What about sleep?" I noticed a punching bag, that was a little disturbing. 3
"Well, when your to tired to stand you can sleep." That was it! Yeah, I got myself into something. How could I be so stupid. I must have said it aloud, "Your not stupid, just using your brains for the wrong things."4
"Clark!." Ace's mom had come down the stairs, she was glaring at Clark in that mother scolding way. I laughed inside, deserved him right as far as I'm concerned. Although, he was right. I looked around some more. There were gymnasium mats, a bookshelf, but not of your everyday books. Usually a basement consisted of your stuff that couldn't fit in the attic, or maybe the occasional TV, with possibly a pool table. Theirs looked like a karate school only a little more, cozy I guess you could say. In the far right corner I could see a bunch of black long coats, must have been Ace's dads stuff because I never saw him wearing anything like that. To my left was a table with two chairs, I had a feeling it wasn't for eating your dinner. The punching bag was in the middle of everything and the gymnasium mats were everywhere else around it. "Chalice, would you like some coffee?" Ace's mom handed me some fresh coffee, still warm. 5
"Thank you." I smiled at her as I took the cup from her hands.6
She laughed a little, "I'm going to miss hearing that from you, but if you keep a slight smile on your face through the next couple of days, Ill be satisfied enough." She walked up the stairs shaking her head and smiling. I looked back at Ace, his head was titled a bit as he smiled at me. It scared me.7
"Ace?"8
"Oh sorry, right um. I'm going to start you off by working on your acting abilities. Can you do that?" He started heading over to the table and patted the chair next to him, "Come on, you know me well enough to know I don't bite." I took a deep breath and sat down in the chair, placing my coffee down in front of me.9
