PART THREE: 1
She was out at last. She had finally convinced them to let her out. The air billowing through her hair and the refreshing feeling of freshness filling her lungs was enough to make her shout for joy. This feeling didn’t last long. Without her in her home, it had become gross and dirty. Her friends had taken the time to bring in her mail and newspapers that she had left behind, but no one wanted to clean her house for when she returned. Quite the opposite, it looked like they had held a party there without her or her permission. She was infuriated by the thought. She turned her music on, and started fixing up her house. Her friends soon heard that she was out and rushed over to her house. They explained how they had a party there and had meant to clean up, but she got out earlier than previously expected. She laughed and told them to help her clean up. Once everything was clean she yelled at them and kicked them out of the house. She knew that soon she would forgive them but for now she just needed a way to escape the anger of the rehab center. She canceled band practice for that day, and just enjoyed being out of that place. Soon a shrink came by to see how she was doing. She knew she had to last another month or so with a shrink visiting her and no drugs. It was sad that she spent all that time in rehab and they still wanted to check up on her. Frustrating, yes, but if she let them know that they would probably take her back to the rehab center. Her parents came by pretending to be proud that “she was no longer addicted”. She laughed them off and rudely pushed them out her front door as she had her friends. She enjoyed this thoroughly. As she lye on her couch and smiled, she began to shout out the lyrics to the song that was playing. Her parents could hear her from outside. They thought that the rehab center had turned her completely insane. They wondered if they could sue the rehab workers. They knew that they probably couldn’t because they had done their jobs well. She was still singing, or yelling rather to the songs. Her neighbors were too used to the loud music to complain anymore. They knew Christina didn’t care what the police thought or did. The rehab center was obviously worse. For a few glistening moments, her life was beautiful. Louder and louder her voice echoed through the corridors of her home. 2
'Away From The Sun'3
It's down to this 4
I've got to make this life make sense 5
Can anyone tell what I've done 6
I miss the life 7
I miss the colours of the world 8
Can anyone tell where I am 9
'Cause now again I've found myself 10
So far down, away from the sun 11
That shines into the darkest place 12
I'm so far down, away from the sun again 13
Away from the sun again 14
I'm over this 15
I'm tired of living in the dark 16
Can anyone see me down here 17
The feeling's gone 18
There's nothing left to lift me up 19
Back into the world I know20
And now again I've found myself 21
So far down, away from the sun 22
That shines into the darkest place 23
I'm so far down, away from the sun 24
That shines to light the way for me 25
To find my way back into the arms 26
That care about the ones like me 27
I'm so far down, away from the sun again 28
It's down to this 29
I've got to make this life make sense 30
And now I can't tell what I've done 31
And now again I've found myself 32
So far down, away from the sun 33
That shines to light the way for me34
'Cause now again I've found myself 35
So far down, away from the sun 36
That shines into the darkest place 37
I'm so far down, away from the sun 38
That shines to light the way for me39
To find my way back into the arms 40
That care about the ones like me 41
I'm so far down, away from the sun again42

It felt good. Nothing was holding her down except her. She chose to be this way. It was life that made her angry. Why had she been so blessed and given it up for anger? She had felt guilty about having it so much easier than anyone else. It just wasn’t fair. She wanted more than anything to let the people with such hard lives have lives like she used to have. Giving up what she had didn’t give it to someone else, but at least it made her feel like she wasn’t looking down on everyone else. She knew that she had become someone she wanted to be forever. She loved this feeling. Being down makes even the simplest pleasures so worthwhile. Life was just a pleasure, even if it would only last for a few glorious moments in the sun. 44
