Adventure Story Part 2

He took a breath and opened his mouth, but that was as far as he got because Alex interrupted him.1

“You like me right?”2

“How’d you know?”3

“I’ve known for a while.”4

“Why didn’t you say anything?”5

“I figured you tell me when you felt like it.”6

“Okay, well I also want to show you something,” he said as he got up. She got up too and followed him. They walked for about 10 minutes before he stopped. “Okay, close your eyes,” he said. She closed her eyes and waited. He pulled some bushes aside and led her in. “Open,” he said calmly.7

She opened her eyes and saw a lush, green oasis. It had a waterfall that seemed to be liquid crystal it was so clear. The huge trees surrounding it gave a canopy of comforting shade. The flowers seemed to be every color in the rainbow and anything in between. “It’s amazing,” she said walking around. “What are you doing?” she asked as she saw him taking off his shoes and socks.8

“I’m gonna swim,” he said. All of a sudden, he jumped in and made a huge splash. “Come in. It’s nice.”9

“Okay,” she said. She took off her shoes and socks too and jumped in. They swam around for a while and just relaxed.10

“Hey, what’s this?” he asked holding something up. It was metallic grey with silver flakes.11

“I’m not sure. Where did you find it?” she asked looking at it.12

“Down here,” he replied. He swam down and she followed, but she didn’t notice what he was showing her. She was looking at an opening in the side of the rocks. They both came up and he asked,” What were you looking at?”13

“There’s an opening. I’ll show you,” she said. She took a deep breath and went under. Riley followed her down. They went into it and swam for a little while until they came to a surface. They both came out and were gasping. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was that far,” she managed to say.14

“It’s okay, you didn’t know,” he replied. They caught their breath and decided to go explore. They walked and came to an archway. “It’s a city. I wonder how long its been here?” he said in awe.15

“I’m not sure. Let’s look around,” she said walking off.16

“Lex wait,” he said going after her. He caught up to her and she was already going into a house. She immediately went upstairs. Riley stayed downstairs to look around, ”AAHH!”
