Backwards Tears

I知 alone in the pouring rain, 1

a feeling in my stomach like I知 free falling from the sky.2

I can稚 block anything out, 3

but I try in vain,4

concentrating on water slick window panes.5

I知 tired of the mundane,6

but whenever I think of adventure I feel scared and shy.7

Leave me alone. 8

I can稚 stand being with anyone right now.9

I would leave myself, but I知 unsure of how.10

Whenever I知 with all of you I want to break down the walls.11

Not so you can get in, but so I can get out.12

Once I get up the courage and leave, finding my own route,13

I値l ignore your calls.14

I carve into the clay my name,15

but it is washed away,16

the rain to blame.17

I look up and water from the skies drips into my eyes.18

I want so badly to be myself, and be by myself.19

My escape, I know, is not something I should postpone.20

I知 sure I致e shown how much I need to be alone...21

I stare in awe at the little water drops.22

I need somewhere to fall apart.23

I get up from the ground, and I know in my heart 24

I値l be gone before the rain stops.25

Without a backward glance I depart.26

I知 alone in the pouring rain, 27

and now I値l be alone forever.

    Ho...lee...crappayola...that's awesome. I loved the way that you put the rain in, and the way that the speaker is determined, even though she doesn't know how, she doesn't know where, but she is leaving before the rain ends. Aweome effect of weather and definitely a finalist.
