Symphony (poetry)

1

rocks fluttered in shadows
yellow water roiled bottom sands
rifted lines shifted delicate sunlit curls
flora gentle as photosynthesis waved flicks2

a boy knelt upon bank rocks, watched
mind gathered particle memories, color given,
remnants in time his dead pets had taken away,
monoliths the adults in his life had built him
that he might know rules and so survive3

his clear eyes suspected sound as a hawk soared
river’s swoop down along water rappelling boulders4

indifferent to the boy's wonder as to the hawks flight
its cannon-fold roar continued one last moment
of a million year reign5

deaf boy stood, sang the world’s first song

Wow! Mindblowing, really...and still beautiful. I love the imagery in this piece...and I definitely didn't expect the last line. The line "mind gathered particle memories" is really good. Quite...unique. Loved this!
