Guardian Angel

The beautiful girl of crimson hair held the sterling silver frame in her hands, her liquid gold eyes gathering moisture as she looked at the picture protected by a thin sheet of glass, balancing her tear gems on its surface. She used her sleeve to wipe the tears from her eyes, clearing her blurred vision so that she could see herself beside the dark haired man, whose chest she had her cheek pressed to as her arms wrapped around him. She looked divine in her pure white dress, her hair put up and a veil rested gracefully upon it. She was smiling in the picture, in total bliss for it being her wedding day to such a man as he. He was dressed in a black tuxedo, his long black hair falling over his shoulders, and looking forwards woodenly. He wasn’t smiling, as she was, but he had his arm wrapped securely around her waist. He never was one for smiling, but he was handsome enough without a smile. She felt warm arms wrap around her body, in a comforting manner, but her world was already fading away as she lost herself to her memories once more.1

“Kieran!” she screamed, dropping to her knees and begging for him to stop. His fist slammed into her face, and immediately it began to turn black and blue, swelling up as the vessels in her eye burst and became blood shot. The force of the punch caused her body to fall to the ground, and she was lifted up once more, by her hair. He brought the glass bottle to his lips, indulging in another gulp of vodka, allowing the alcohol to flow down his throat, before his fist made contact with her face once more. She turned and ran, trying to escape him, her hand clutching onto the banister as his fist slammed into her gut, knocking the wind out of her. She fell, her grip loosening, and he kicked her in her side, causing her to tumble down a flight of stairs. She looked up at him, tears in her eyes, “Kieran, please stop this…” He ignored her, taking another gulp of vodka, and moving down the steps. She quickly managed to get herself onto her feet, despite the hellish pain that anguished her with every step towards the front door. She shut it behind her and ran, panting and afraid.2

She always ran to the same place, the same house, with the very same man she knew she could always trust. Tears streamed down her face as more blood soaked into her clothing and she knocked on the door weakly. The cherubic face of a beautiful man answered the door, his messy pale blonde hair falling into his sky blue eyes, his expression immediately taking on one of concern.3

”Axix…” she sobbed, stepping closer and losing her balance. He put out his arms and caught her, as she landed against his chest and just cried. He was a comfort to her, his arms holding onto her, keeping her in his safe embrace, his hands running down her smooth hair.4

”It’s alright Kaimi,” he comforted, “I’m here,” he would always be there to be her support when she needed a friend to turn to; he made her feel safe.5

”I don’t know what to do anymore, Axixu...” she sobbed, clinging to him, unwillingly to let him go.6

Axix sighed and gave her the same advice he had given her countless times before, “Then leave him, get a PFA and divorce him… It’s all you can do…”7

”I love him, though… I can’t leave him,” she knew she had to go home, to return to her husband, but it wouldn’t be tonight she would do that. She buried her head in his chest and stood their like that, crying into his chest, her tears soaking his shirt. Soon the soft splash of rain against the pavement could be heard, as rain droplets exploded on the ground, and soon it was heaving hard. Rain poured from the skies down to the Earth, drenching the two, standing outside the home.8

”C’mon, Kaimi,” he told her, picking her up and helping her into the house. She knew this home so well, the scent of fresh apples and the warmth. He set her on the sofa, and walked into the kitchen preparing two cups of tea, and setting one at the table for her. “He really hurt you this time, Kaimi, you need to see a doctor…”9

Kaiami shook her head in refusal, “They’ll know what’s going on… Axix, you’re a doctor, just… treat me so I can go home…”10

”Kaimi, he may have done internal damage; I can’t treat you for that inside my home… You have to go to the hospital,” He explained to her, getting up to get gauze and ointment, to at least treat the external wounds. He gave her an ice pack, “Here hold this to your cheek,” he advised, and went about treating her wounds.11

Moisture gathered once more in her eyes, “Axix… I can’t go to a hospital; I can’t let anyone know about Kieran being so abusive…”12

Axix could feel himself on the verge of tears, “Kaimi… Do you remember back in high school, when we were still dating, when I vowed to always be here for you? To be the person you could always rely on?” she nodded in response, “Well if I’m going to be here for you, your going to have to let me help…”13

She hung her head, “I can’t… I just can’t… I need Kieran….” She answered, as tears fell into her lap.14

He lifted her head up gently, with his finger, so that their eyes met, “Kaiami,” he began, “I still love you… I hate seeing you like this…”15

She blushed slightly, “Axix… I married Kieran, I love him…”16

Axix ignored her comment as he moved in and pressed his lips to hers, a sensation surging through her body, though she didn’t protest. In fact, she did just the opposite, and moved herself closer and pulling him in more, to deepen the kiss. The sensation of how gentle, how affectionate, Axix was in comparison was one Kaiami had longed for once more, but she couldn’t turn her back on Kieran… After all, she loved him.17

Axix had given her a change of his clothes, and washed and dried hers. Kaiami had eventually fallen asleep on the couch, and awaken late that morning. She sat up and looked around, her whole body aching. “Axix!” she called, but no response came. She saw her clothes folded on the coffee table and peered up at the clock, then sighed. He would be in work by this time. She dressed in the bathroom, pausing to observe her bruised body in the mirror, before putting her clothes back on once more. She brought her hand up to her face, her fingers brushing in with a feathery touch; it had become terribly swollen overnight. She walked out the door, looking up at the clear skies. The rain had dried up by now, and though she was afraid, her feet carried her back to the home she shared with Kieran.18

She slowly opened the door, and peaked in. In was a mess, as she had expected for it to be. The chairs were all knocked over, and glass was shattered on the ground. All the furniture was out of place, and empty bottles lay all around. She moved silently into the kitchen to see Kieran passed up in the only chair standing, his head lying on the table, while his hand still held onto his bottle of vodka.19

She sighed, a wave of relief washing over her as she began to tidy the place up once more. She remained as quiet as she possibly could, each time she made the slightest noise it would seem a thousand times louder and her heart would stop beating as she turned to face her sleeping husband.20

It was clean once more, and she sighed as she looked at the window. Behind her she could hear the movement of Kieran’s chair and she knew he had awakened. She turned to look at him behind her. “Morning…” she said quietly.21

”Hn…” he replied, looking to the bottle still in his hand, and finishing it off. He didn’t seem to acknowledge the bruises or that her face was swollen.22

Her hands clutched him her lap, as she turned to look at him. He appeared to be acting normal, but for Kieran it was hard to tell what was normal and what wasn’t. She stood from where she was sitting, and walked over to him. “Kieran… I…” she began, but was at a loss for words.23

Kieran left her there, not replying to her, or apologizing for the pain he had put her through. It seemed he didn’t care much as to whatever he’s done that previous night, and he would likely end up beating on her once more tonight. Kieran hadn’t spoken to Kaiami at all that day, and it seemed the day was just as all the other recent days. He’d drink himself into a stupor then become infuriated with her for some small thing and all hell would break loose. He didn’t always have a reason for beating her, sometimes he just did. Tonight was one of those nights…24

Kaiami could see it in the way he just tossed everything out of his way, that he was angry. He drank more and more vodka, his anger only increasing as he drank. Kieran glared over at Kaiami, sitting at the table.25

”Where’d you go last night?” he finally demanded.26

”No where… I just left…” Kaiami replied quickly.27

He growled in frustration obviously not buying the excuse, his hand flaring out and reaching for the collar of her shirt, lifting her off the ground. He said nothing more to her, as his fist swung towards her once more, hitting her side, making an audible sound of the breaking of bones. She winced as tears built in her eyes, and she stumbled back. “Kieran…” she sobbed quietly, as he moved closer once more, his balled up fist nailing her once more, in the abdomen, sending her backwards into a wall. She coughed, and trace amounts of blood came up with it. She clutched at her stomach, “Stop it… Please…” His hand flared at her throat, holding it so tight, no more words could form, not could she breathe. She struggled against him, her hands grabbing at his wrist, but unable to pry him away. She began to feel light headed and dizzy, but suddenly his hand was gone from her throat, and his lips were pressed roughly against her own, his hands traveling to her pants, undoing them and pulling them away, while he did the same with his own pants.28

She made a small sound of protest, but spoke no words, as tears fell silently down her cheeks. He pressed his body against hers, forcing her into the wall even more, as he slowly began to penetrate her. He moved into her, trailing kisses along her collar bone, but all she could feel was pain. She didn’t want this; she couldn’t understand why he was acting this way. What has she done to infuriate him so much, it would push him this far? He moved at an even pace, keeping her pinned to the wall, with such force it brought her anguish. He forced himself inside of her, moving in and out, as she did the only things she could… She cried, feeling weak and pathetic. She could hear Kieran’s almost inaudible moan as he reached orgasm, and once more he forced himself upon her, his lip against hers in his rough fashion. Kaiami squirmed beneath his hold, which only made him push her into the wall harder, as she sealed her eyes closed tightly; desperately trying to forget whatever pain she was in.29

Before she knew it, she had been thrown to the ground once more, crashing into the coffee table, shattering the glass table top. Blood trickled down her face, as a gash had formed on her head, and she scrambled across the broken glass, cutting her hands in the process. Still she’d had her pants around her knees, making it difficult for her to bring herself to her feet. His foot made contact with her body, as she doubled over, and huddled on the floor, a bloodied mess. He proceeded to beat her, until she found the moment she could escape the home once more, the one moment he’d stop for but a second, and she made her way to the door, pulling her pants up, back around her waist, and slamming it behind her. She stumbled and trip over herself, trying desperately to make it to Axixu’s home in seek of his help once more.30

She hardly made it too his front door step, before she collapsed to the ground, dizzy. The world seemed to be fading away, being swallowed into darkness. She cried out for Axix, but the more she cried, the weaker her voice would become. She faded away, losing her hold on reality.31

She could hear the loud noises around her, but she couldn’t move her body, she couldn’t open her eyes, her utter any words. She was lost, wherever she was. She could hear voices, but make out no words and then… nothing… She couldn’t hear anything.32

Her eyes quickly opened, and she found herself in a hospital room, blank, dull, and white. She was attached to numerous machines, wires hooked up to her, and needles taped down against her skin. She was in pain that was the first thing she knew. She was brought to the hospital. That was the second thought she had. How did she get here? She vaguely remembered passing out in front of Axix’s home.33

”You’re awake!” his voice nearly yelled, cheeriness in his voice despite her condition.34

“Axix?” she looked over at him, as the doctor entered the room. She felt mixed emotions, but didn’t quite know what to say to him. “Why?” she finally asked, “Why did you bring me here?”35

He looked to the ground, “I had no choice this time, Kaimi… You would have died…”36

”How long have I been out?” she finally asked him.37

He looked back up at her, “A little over a week now…”38

”And what happen to Kieran?” she then asked.39

”Jail…” Axix answered her briefly.40

Kaiami looked in the direction of the window, “Then…. Where does that leave me?” she felt moisture building in her eyes.41

Axix moved over to her bedside, she could already smell the familiar woodsy scent he always seemed to have, blended in with the smell of fresh apples. It was a comfort to her, for some reason. “It leaves you recovering in the hospital until you’re better, and once you are discharged, you can either go home or stay with me…” he replied.42

”Axix…” she said, her voice cracking as tears began to fall from her eyes.43

He sighed, “Listen Kaimi, you won’t be in here much longer, and things will get better...” he promised.44

Towards the end of the week, Axix finally issued Kaiami’s discharge, and she was free to go home. She didn’t want to be alone though, she couldn’t take being in the same house that reminded her so much of Kieran… She ended up taking Axix up on his offer and staying with him.45

”Axix…” She said in a hushed voice, as she walked into his home, “Thank you…”46

He smiled widely, “No problem! Anything for my little Kaimi!” he replied.47

Kaiami hung her head, she was sad; upset over loosing Kieran. Axix sighed heavily and walked over to her, pulling her into an embrace, “Kaiami… I’m sorry, but… I love you too much… I couldn’t just leave you like that… And there was no way to avoid this…”48

She laid her head against his chest, “I… guess so…” she replied, her voice quiet. She buried her face in his chest, taking in his comforting scent once more, once more clinging to him. “Axixu…” she cried softly. He comforted her once more, being her guardian angel. He just allowed her to cry, until the tears would no longer come and then he’d just let her lay there beside him, as she found comfort by his presence, and if she needing one thing now, it was comfort.49

He pressed his gentle lips to hers, and she simply kissed him back, holding onto him, as if she would lose him too. All she wanted was the comfort Axix provided her, and that comfort went beyond just being there to be her emotional support. She physically wanted him, craved for that love that only he could give to her. Her hands moved down his chest, lifting his shirt over his head, revealing his bare muscles. He placed more tender kisses along her neck, and removed her shirt as well, his hands quickly making their way over to her bra, and undoing the clasp, removing that too and discarding it. His hands traveled to the edge up her pants, gently holding onto her hips as he moved in to kiss her lips once more. His tongue moved along her lower lip, pleading for entry, which she granted. His hands were soon wondering all over her body, and then back the edge of her pants, where he began removing them, and she did the same to his. He slipped them away, revealing her panties, where he ran his finger across her fold through the fabric. She made a slight noise and pushed herself nearer to him, her hands slipping into his boxer’s and making their way to his genitals. She carefully massaged them through, feeling him harden, and running her hand along the shaft, then moving her hand away and slipping the boxers off. His hand pulled away at the panties that covered her womanhood, and he pressed himself against her entrance, the same sensation surging through both their bodies as they melded together and he pressed into her, penetrating and the pulling away, and thrusting back into her. She moaned softly, and then reached her hands up to hold onto his back, and pull him in closer once again, to engage in another passionate kiss. His hands ran along her sides, and to her breasts, where he massaged them gently, and continued to kiss her, as he moved in and out of her, until she held onto him tighter, reaching orgasm, and moaning out his name. He continued what he was doing and not much longer he too reached his climax and came, moaning blissfully, then moving to lay beside her, panting heavily. She too was panting, and out of breathe.50

“Kaimi…” Axix spoke between pants, “I love you so much…”51

Kaiami snuggled in closer to him, her head resting on his chest, “I love you too, Axix… And… Thank you… For… Being my guardian angel…”

Author notes

I think this story is rather twisted, but it keep you reading on, because it has such a grip on the audience. I don't write too much erotica, so don't bash on my inability to write it well... I know not many are into rape, but I really wanted to show abuse to its fullest and I think I portrayed it pretty well... For the contest, I think this counts as violence, for it is about domestic violence...

I like this story, it is well written and I know it can be controversial to write something about abuse. I personally am so against it and I hate the idea of it, but I love the fact she had an "angel" to go to. Some parts I think you need to read over and maybe aloud as some parts don't always make sense.

The sex scene between them needs to be broken up into more paragraphs. But other then those things I couldn't see anything wrong with it.

    Good job and good luck.

    Angel.

This was a great read. It had great description, good emotion, and I felt connected to the characters. However, I'm not sure if it's exactly what I wanted. True, it does have some very twisted aspects, but in my opinion, the story foccused more on the budding love between Kaimi and Axix. Don't get me wrong, this story is pretty amazing, I just don't think it's right for my contest.

Thanks for entering, though. I really enjoyed the read.

Hey I like this. A lot of people stay in abusive relationships. I never quite understood why. Some people just think that they have no other choices... But they do. There are always choices.

    thanks for a good read.

I think your writing was perfect. You had the emotional responses down pat and every bit of violence was seen. Your characters were a marvel to behold. I have to give you full credit for this piece, but have to say, i don't normal read this sort of thing, and may never do again. It makes me so angry. Regardless, i thought it was extremely well written.

I really liked the way you wrote this. You described it really well and went into quite a bit of detail.

I really suck when it comes to writing short stories, so I think this was really good!! =]

It would have been useful to know whether Keiran had always been the way he was/ if something drew his towards being a pig-man. Also, I felt Kaimi and Axix's relationship advanced pretty quickly. Teehee

    overall, very encapsulating =]

    • lol thanks a lot

I gave hints, though they were rather subtle, that Kieran wasn't always abusive and Kaiami and Axix's relationship moved fast, because they'd already had a good relationship, not to mention they dated back in high school. I think the story touches on quite a few things, affairs, alcoholism, abuse, loyalty, love, and passion. Thank you for the comment ^^

  • Wow, i loved this so much...ahhh and it did keep me interested. This was awesome.<333
