Water Child

Here we go again, more moving things around to make room for the new baby and me not being able to help. Although I guess I could understand why Xigbar doesn't want me to help seeing as how I'm due in just another week...or was it two? Bah no matter, the point was I wanted to help move some of the babies stuff and wasn't able to. Even if it was something light like a box of baby toys I was forbidden to touch it. 1

About the only thing I could do was sit and watch as Xigbar got things ready for the babies that were due to be born just two weeks from now. I didn't much like to see Xigbar doing all the work, it made me feel left out...that and I couldn't even play my Sitar with as big a belly as I had. Inside one of the two babies started to kick up quite a storm as I brought a hand to my stomach and smiled pressing my hand against my stomach to play with the baby. 2

"Nnn....ow that one hurt...don't be so rough with your mommy now." I said breathing a bit. "That's it...good baby." I said rubbing my stomach. 3

I heard Xigbar walk over and looked up smiling meeting his lips in a loving kiss and traced my finger over one of his scars and smiled as he knealed down and rubbed my belly where one of the babies was kicking.4

"They're really excited Xiggy." I said happily giggling at the tickling kiss he gave my stomach. 5

"I see that...hey there you two, be good for your mommy." I heard Xigbar say and smiled lightly.6

Hard to believe just eight months ago I found out I was gonna have a baby don't ask me why but for some odd reason I'd always wanted kids. I don't know why, all I know is that I wanted them. And when Vexy had announced the experiment I was all but excited at the thought that I could finally have kids. 7

It wasn't until a month or two later that I found out I was gonna have twins. I was so excited at the news. Vexy had asked me at one point, I think it was when I was....lets see...twenty two weeks, when Vexen asked me do I want to know what they are. Xigbar had been busy with a mission that day so I went alone and told him I didn't want to know unless Xigbar was with me.8

Ever since then even though Xigbar was with me on one of the ultrasounds I still didn't want to know what the babies were because I was getting so close to having them. I was even more excited to meet them and find out what they were and who they would look like. So many things to do before they were born and so much to think about. 9

"Hey Xiggy what are we gonna name them?" I asked rubbing my stomach and smiled as the second baby kicked at my stomach. 10

"I dunno, guess we'll decide on a name once they decide to come out." Xigbar said and nuzzled my tummy a bit a small giggle escaping my lips.11

Two weeks later I stood outside the babies room that was next to ours, the room had once been mine but since Xigbar and I shared a room, we figured let's turn my room into a nursery for the babies. And since we were next store to them we could easily hear the babies crying, for when they wanted to be fed or held.12

A small smile crossed my lips when I felt Xigbar's arms come around me and I looked up at him. "Any day now huh?" I asked kissing him. 13

"Yeah little dude, any day now, come on let's get you to bed." Xigbar said as I nodded and walked off with him to our shared room as we lay down and went to sleep.14

A few hours later I woke up feeling really uncomfortable and sat up slowly holding my stomach and shook Xigbar a bit. 15

"Xiggy, Xiggy." I said moaning and shook his shoulder. 16

"Mmm...Hey Demyx what's the matter?" 17

"I think its time...I'm not feeling all that good, and I felt fine eariler." I said taking a few deep breaths. 18

A few hours later I lay in the bed, a warm cloth over my forehead Xigbar beside me as I went through a hard contraction a small scream coming from my lips.19

"Xiggy it hurts." I moaned leaning against him and whined a bit. 20

"I know Demyx...I know, it'll all be over soon." He said softly.21

"I hope so...I don't think I can take much more of this..." I moaned.22

After a few more hours would pass as I held one of the twin in my arms. The second child in Xigbar's arms. I smiled some at the little boy and girl laying peacefully in our arms as I admired how cute they were. The little boy had blond hair and gold eyes and kicked a bit inside his blanket, while the little girl had black-purple hair and deep sea blue eyes. 23

She pretty much slept peacefully while her brother wanted to be a bit stubborn and stare up at me. I gave him a small smile back and kissed his tiny hand. 24

"Hey there baby...yes I'm your mommy. Hmm hmm your both so cute..I can't believe I went through all that pain just for you two." I said with a giggle.25

"Hey little dude, they need names don't ya think?" I heard Xigbar ask. 26

"Mmm...How about we name the Girl Xiyu and the boy will be....hmmm, Xiang?" He asked. 27

"Sounds good to me, little dude." Xigbar said as I smiled and nodded.
