Kora pierced her finger with a staple and watched it bleed. The red blood magically appeared from an unseen opening and darkened more with each millisecond. She looked at her blood in a purely quizzical and analytical manner. She couldn’t help but wonder as she questioned out loud, “What type are you? Are you A or B or O? Does B blood look different than AB? Hum..” 1
Knowing that her blood would not answer her she carefully licked away the cool red fluid. Her finger looked undamaged. She closed her eyes.2
Kora was standing in an empty classroom. It was lunch and she had hoped to complete an assignment due next hour. She never went to lunch, never really cared to eat. It seemed pointless almost in a sense to her. Of course she did eat. She would have noodles or pizza, coffee and broccoli. She just didn’t see the point in eating profusely every day.3
“What are you doing?” came a familiar voice suddenly.4
Kora jumped as she opened her eyes. The blueness of them piercing her victim.5
“I was thinking,” she said, her heart heavy and her voice red.6
She wiped away the newly protruding blood on her jeans as she gazed into his brown eyes. He had stupid eyes. They were almost always full of laughter and love... and kindness. She’d been lost many times in those stupid brown eyes.7
“Too many,” she whispered unknowingly.8
“What?” He questioned.9
Kora shrugged.10
“I’m tired. Not really thinking straight yet,” she murmured.11
“Oh.”12
He turned to leave, then stopped. Turning back he said, “Come with me.”13
“Okay,” she replied, almost too quickly. She really did want to go and hated herself for that.14
He ventured out of the classroom and across the hall. Wondering, Kora followed. 15
“Do you need something?”16
“Not exactly.”17
He kept checking back to make sure she was following, as if he was afraid she’d disappear if he didn’t look. He walked through the hall and through some doors. 18
‘What could he want?’ she wondered.19
He just kept walking and Kora remained silent. When she thought for sure he’d stop, having come to a dead end, he merely kicked the handicap door open with some difficulty and ventured outside into the snow. 20
‘What could he possibly need? What does he want?’21
Thinking for sure he’d stop now, Kora was proved wrong yet again. He continued down the sidewalk, still looking back periodically with those stupid brown eyes. Then he stopped so abruptly that Kora almost rammed into him.22
He turned towards the parking lot.23
“Look.” He voiced excitedly.24
“Yeah... What?”25
“See that big white truck? That’s mine!” He pointed at himself proudly with a huge grin on his face.26
“Are you serious?” She said, disappointed that the truck was what had been so important. 27
“Pretty nice eh?”28
“Oh yes,” she muttered down heartedly, then put on a smile just for show.29
Kora felt sick and turned to go back into the school. She was upset and annoyed. She walked quickly away from him and when his voice came from behind again, she dismissed him soundly. Returning to the classroom, she gathered up her homework and made it to her next class just in time. 30
Kora knew she would have no peace that day. Whenever Kaden actually choose to talk to her, the meaning was always left in a fog. She pondered him while math class started. Her teacher was writing something important up on the board, soundless words coming out of his mouth. Kora’s mind in turn drifted, and she took no notice as a C graded assignment was passed back to her, the fourth one that week. Her mind just seemed to be else where lately. She couldn’t seem to catch a hold of it. With pure hatred she had fallen in love. And it seemed that no matter how hard she tried, she could not, to any avail, fall out of that love.31

Story Time. I intend to further this piece as I go. If you would like to leave me comments on my work so far or ideas for what I could add into it, I would greatly appreciate that. I just hope there's enough emotion in it for you to feel how Kora is feeling. Try reading it out loud, I find that helps. Thanx for reading.
