My favourite was "Love is a decision and a commitment, not an accident" - I can relate to that.
You've very talented and have an excellent creative mind.
"Better to fight and lose, than to lose without a fight." - I like that one too... it gives hope and a sense of "never give up"
Good job. -

Hi Jaz!
I like Aussies
!
Those who fall in or out of love are not aware of the control they have, not aware of what caused them to decided to love. Without that awareness, it's easy for them to fall out of love and their commitment tends to just be a feel good thing. So, they may fall out of love just as easily as they fell in love, with no idea of what caused either decision.
I'm glad you enjoy my quotes. Thanks very much for visiting my stuff.
Do you have any questions about Storywrite I might be able to help with?

Many of these quotes have so much truth in them! By the way is that you in the picture?

Hi Len!
Thanks for checking out my quotes. I'm glad that you like them. Yes, that's me about three years ago. I don't often get in front of a camera. That was taken with a webcam, but the cats chewed through its cord. I haven't replaced it.

This is a very well put together page and one which I enjoyed reading very much. Your own quotes say a lot and tell much. I once tried this sort of thing but I was smart enough to think of any new things to quote. Loved it. The only one I didn't agree with was the last one. Everyone has there own way of seeing the spirit, be it called God or whatever. I don't believe in God myself, but I certainly am very open and see a lot. Great writing, Andy, and will be back to read more as you add them to the list.

Hi Condor!
I think seeing God has a lot to do with what you believe God to be. I believe that God is all and is in all. I equate God with existence. So, everything I see, feel, hear, smell, touch, or think about is God or reflects God. I don't believe God is all knowing or all powerful. Although humanity demonstrates intelligence and personality, I don't know if God has those traits. I have no personal or intelligent relationship with God as a personal or spiritual being.
Thanks for checking out my quotes. Now and then, when I'm feeling bright, I add another one. If you like quotes, there's 'Findquotations' which is a sister site, the 'Quotes' link at the bottom of the page. You username and password work at all the sister sites.

I'd have to say my favorite was "A creature is a prisoner of its own nature". I think I'll put that on my page. ^^ Great quotes.

Hi Mad Ink!
Thanks for stopping by my quotes. I'm glad that you like them.
Storywrite has seven sister sites with link connecting to six of them at the bottom of the page. ChatAct.com is a new site that is not yet linked at the bottom of the page, but is functional, though still being developed. Your password and username will work at all the sites.
'Findquotes' is one of the sites at the link 'Quotes' at the bottom of the page. That site is a resource for quotes and archives quotes from many famous people. You can also make lists of you favorite quotes and list quotes you've coined yourself there. If you like quotes, you might check it out.
I think that quote reads better as "A creature is prisoner of its nature." In any case, remember who coined it
!

Hi Patchy!
Thanks for hosting this contest and for reading and commenting. I appreciate it. I'm glad you like my quotes.
Every now and then I'll come up with something I think is good enough to add to my list of quotes while I'm writing.
Are you aware of our sister site, 'Find A Quote'? The link to it is 'Quotes' at the bottom of the page. It's one of our six sister sites. Your username and password will work at all the sites.
At 'Find A Quote' you can look up famous quotes or famous people and quotes they've made. You can also add quotes of your own and those of friends. It's a little additional fun as well as a useful resource.

Mental illness is a healthy response to society.... Hahahhah!!!! you have me in stitches!!! **gasps for breath**
I love that one and many more!
Great Andy!
Christa

Hi Christa!
And how are you today?
I like that quote a lot, too. I coined it around 2000. It has an underlying meaning, "Those who are never mentally ill, are actually unhealthy."
Thanks for dropping by and reading.

"It is not how close a person is to God which matters, but how close God is to each person. As far as I can see, God is an equal distance to us all."
I really loved this quote. It's very meaningful to me. I also really like the last 3 that you have here. The one about patience is really awesome because I am a very patient person and people often mistake my, biding my time, with weakness.

Hi Caradoc!
Yes, I like that quote a lot, too. Many people put in a lot of effort and/or make a big show of their godliness, but it doesn't make them any closer to God.
I'm very glad you like my quotes. There's a sister site, 'Find A Quote' at the 'Quotes' link at the bottom of the page. You can add your own quotes there or search other people's quotes, famous or otherwise. Your username and password work there. The account automatically opens when you click the link the first time.

Great entry! Thanks! -

Hi Ryan!
Thanks for hosting this contest and for reading and commenting. Actually, I was hoping you'd pick the quote that inspired you the most or perhaps find inspiration from them all
. It was also easy to drop in my quote list as it is a prewrite.

A creature is a prisoner of its nature? But, can he break free and be something else--do you think? Better said can he go against his nature?

The majority of animals see to be limited by teir nature.
Humanity is harder to figure. It's hard to know if anything is beyond the natture of Humanity.

'Better to fight and lose, than to lose without a fight.'
Possibly my favorite one out of the lot, this one I can relate to a lot since it says much about who I am
and since I'm training to become a boxer, sayings or quotes like these are normally said to us everyday lol. I think there's so many meanings to this though, whether it be sport/love/politics etc.
Really good collection.
Mike

Hi Mike!
Yes, I like that quote and that's my version of it, but I'm not entirely certain I coined it. I feel that I may have heard similar expressions.
It's a good quote, but sometimes I don't fight
.
Andy

really good
very cool
u said all of those quotes?
is that ue pic at the top?

-

Yep!
These are all my quotes. It's possible they may be similar to some by others, but I copied none of them.
When I come up with something I really like, I add it to the collection.
Yes, that's my picture at the top. It's about three years or so old. I don't get in front of a camera often.

There you are
SUNNY DAY
The World was cloudy
Until a Son appeared
Shining like a star
Great quote bro... I just thought i'd stop by with a book I began writing today because, suddenly, I saw a bright star that had been obscured by the clouds. Wait! That was your line and I'm just agreeing quoting your quote, here.
-
-
Thanks
Not a bad quote yourself. You've probably got a bunch of them. Thanks for reading my little quote and for commenting and applauding. I'll read the start on your book shortly.

What's this? You get a picture uploaded and I can't even change the color of my background

Oh by the way I 'luv' this "The brightest stars are often obscured by clouds."

Thanks Geri
I'm glad you love my quote. Thanks for all the applause.
To change your background, open the story page and click 'edit background'. On the page that appears 'Choose the main background from a category', for colors click the first link. You can't change the background color if you choose any of the other categories. A graph will appear and you choose your colors from that and click OK. You can do the same with the borders and the the main font and link colors. When you are done, click submit. If submit won't respond, go to the sidebar and click 'let me submit anyway' then click submit.
