The young, rich, law clerk, Rylan Pollux, was walking down Ransit road at Two o'clock in the morning. He had been working for twenty hours strait that day, and was about to sleep, hopefull that Mr. Loyaw would be able to make sense of his semi-drunk ramblings.1
Mr. Applebee, the local blacksmith, was getting water from the well, but Rylan didn't notice his prescence untill a creature attacked him. The creature was tall, with tallons that clawed Applebee's face, and then, in the sickest perverion Rylan had ever seen, the creaure bent down and kissed Applebee, caresing his lips and neck.2
Rylan tried to sit down on a bench, beliving this to be a dream, but instead, his body went cold and the world seemed to drift away from him.3
