Teetering upon the razors edge
Of insanity,
You alone know how
To kick me when I’m this
low.1
Fall
From the stars
To a pit in the ground
Where I am alone
With feelings
Buried.2
Buried in earth,
As thoughts
Come to play with the crickets.3
With nails against the slate
That keeps me here,
I claw at earth
To break the surface,
To return to sunshine.4
Sunbeams
Hit my skin.
Burns
In the most delightful way,
As you kiss away the scars
Without seeing them.
