Glamour & Trash

This room was huge and rounded, lit with an orange glow and filled with the industry elite. The men drank obscene amounts of wine, hiding behind an air of class, as they charmed irritable women who fought against their urges to pop truffle after truffle past their cherry lips. A subtly harsh music played beneath the sound of shrill voices and forced laughs. This was inner-city sophistication in all its glory.1

Two children with alcohol in their premature systems made their way outside of the upper-class chaos and into the hallway. "My mom said your mom is a whore," he whispered with a devilish smirk over his freckled face. These were the first words he ever spoke to her.2

She stood there with a blank look on her face. Fresh, bright, ugly. Raspy and piercing, she said, "She is, isn't she?"

Yes? No? Maybe so?

Woah! Wasn't expecting that. Very nice development of atmosphere. It does show the underbelly of the upperclass is quite soft. Nice job.

    So, basically, I want more.

Your descriptions kicked ass and now I'm completely intrigued. This is some of the best stuff I've read on this site, actually. Admittedly, there's not a lot of talent on Storywrite to begin with, but this was still amazing.

    A yes. A definite yes.
