Sometimes you can know a lot about people by the way they dance. There are those who prefer to be alone (girls dancing in groups not giving anyone the time of day). There are those who love being in a crowd (guys and women dancing really goofy-like, getting huge laughs). And then...there's this guy (the music scratches to a halt, picture stops moving). Now, he may not look it, but this guy...he dances with all the beautiful women that Orange County has to offer. What, you don't believe me? watch...(music slowly gets going again and picture unfreezes, the dancing man is now surrounded by 4 beautiful women at once) See, I told you! Judging by the way he's dancing and having a great time, you wouldn't know that he went through one of the most painful moments in his life, divorce. What he is showing on the outside is nothing compared to the storms he is feeling on the inside. How do I know this just by watching him dance?(picture freezes again and music stops) That's easy. He is me. And I am Thomas Vale. 1
Author notes
Okay, I know it's not much, people. I'm trying to start my own tv show. I am calling it "Newly Divorced", and that's all I have of my show so far. I want to make it a "Thirtysomthing" meets "Wonder Years" type of show, I want it to be funny, yet a drama at the same time. I know this write really sucks, so please be gentle. Thank you.

Piston-, "what a clever muse...!" Indubitably, your message is so true; "things are never what they seem..." Personally, I myself have reacted "similarly." Guess, with some, that it’s an "outburst of the opposite shenanigans," to detour others from knowing “JUST HOW BAD YOU’RE HURT-!” This was fascinating…, and sounds like something like what “I, myself, might write. Thank you...

I don't think it sucks... but if you're thinking 'tv show', you might want to re-format into a screenplay. I would like to see more about the character- how he develops, the people around him, etc. Also- if this is Orange County, CA- you've got to get more indepth about the people. If there is a guy who is dancing and the women are flocking to him- we have to know more about him. The women in O.C. (I'm generalizing here) won't give most men the time of day unless he's got a shit-load of money and is obscenely good looking. So- lets see some more of this!

lol, it doesn't suck yet, Amir, because it's not done. So I'll reserve comments until I see more. Suffice it to say that the concept is good!
