Huge question PLEASE READ, FRIENDS!!

so i've been thinking about compiling a bunch of my short stories into a book. and maybe my poems.1

the question is...2

do i have enough short stories to put together a good enough book? and would i have a large enough consumer market to justify publishing costs?3

do i have enough poems to put together into at least one book? would my consumer market outweigh the costs of publishing?4

((for poetry, go to allpoetry.com and look up His White Phoenix))5

so, tell me what you think. BE HONEST!! please don't lie to me at all...this is very very important to me.

Author notes

really, i am seriously considering being published.

honest opinion

Why not a Spy Queen novel?

I looked at your stories and saw the Spy Queen series. With a little more bulk to the story you could easily make that into a novel or novella. Or did you not want to attempt a novel or novella-length story? Just a curious question.

I've only read a handful of your works, so I need to do some background research and I will get back to you on that. Just remind me every once in a while.

Right now I haven't checked into your material enough to give you an answer to what you're looking for... But I want to wish you great luck if you decide to publish (or try to), and I hope you'll sell well

you have 89 poems so you've got enough to put together a decent poetry book. As for your short stories, make sure they're edited, and for an average size book you'd need between 50000-80000 words. Which for a normal size paperback is about 300x pages
check spelling, punctuation, grammar. if you don't have a word program, get open office, it's free and has spellcheck. tey're supposed to be getting a grammar checker on it. double check your tenses too. make sure they'er all in the same tense. get 3 friends you trust to read your mmanuscript and point out any mistakes you've missed... then on the errors everyone agrees on fix those. plus any extra that you think are legit. Good luck and let me know
