I have always believed in the one true love. In my heart I know that everyone has another that is out there waiting for them. Most people in this world begin to have there heart broken at a very young age. When we are young our hearts are still open and we have the ability to love freely. For most, true love is not found when we are young. We go through heart break after heart break building scars to protect the fragile state our hearts start to fall into. 1
With each break our heart feels pain and recoils deeper and deeper into darkness and pain. Some of us have learned to put our hearts to sleep, to ignore the longing we feel deep in our chest. Yet we wait, with our hears bleeding, to find our one true love. We wait without realizing what we wait for. 2
The longing we feel inside us to be united with the one we love is one of our most primal urges. It was given to our ancestors during the ancient times and passed down in our blood through each generation. I believe that in our hearts we carry echos of our greatest ancestors. Those echos live on in our rich, thick blood as in courses through our bodies. That blood is constantly reminding us that great love as well as great pain awaits us if we are quiet enough to listen.

I totally believe this too.... the only downside is just because you find it doesnt mean it lasts..... i met mine to young and we both moved on... i know i will love again but it will never be that same deep fulfilling love again.

I liked your philosophising on the elusive 'one true love.' I met my one true love when I wasn't looking. We do have a primal urge to find the correct mate, to share and nurture each other. It makes our genetic(?)source stronger, so that our descendants can continue.
