Cover-Story

“I fell in love with married colleague.”1

Sorrowful confessions of a woman whose face appears – blown-up, at that – on the magazine cover. Her face is covered in thick make-up, and red lipstick applied to make her look sensual and appealing. Hungry eyes seized at her. Hungry eyes devoured her.2

Two pages dedicated to her, one of then where she shows off her figure. Hungry eyes stare at her, and some minds wonder why the colleague didn’t want her.3

Sorrowful words – “I love him.” Described with tears falling – “I know he is Mr. Right, but he didn’t think of me that way. I love him. I really do.”4

Letters of consolations sent in, the editors read with glee. Letters that curse at the man, letters that curse at the man’s wife and letters that curse the entire family.5

The lady loved you. Yet, you chose family over a woman’s love. Your wife probably didn’t care as much as she did. You’re so lucky! She’s so beautiful, why didn’t you love her back?6

Why didn’t you care for her?7

Remarks, scorning the man they know naught of – a man who probably never existed in reality.8

The creators swallow it all up. They create the conclusion to it. Magazines are snapped up from the shelves, mortals longing to know what happen fork out a part of their salary to feed the creators’ mouths. 9

“The poor girl!”10

“He’s been so bad!”11

And she’s gone to commit suicide? Her face is there, her lips smiling, but the report says she is dead, overwhelmed with her love and saddened by how he did not return it.12

But people will soon forget her, remembering yet another new face – “I fell in love with my brother.”13

This is a very interesting piece... I don't think I've ever read anything quite like this on this site. I agree on the whole 'humans are fickle' stance; however, being one of the quote-unquote 'indifferent' tabloid readers, I can't say that I would, in this case, pick the woman over the man or vice-versa. This is definitely an original – the format, the message, etc. – and is well written. Nice job.

    Enviormentally freindly stickers for you!

i think the comment you're trying to make here is that human beings are extremely fickle. which is totally truth, and I'll give you props for that. I cant' say i side with either-sitting on top of the fence offers a much better view of both yards. A very interesting commentary.

    Needs Salt.

Yikes! Well, (ahem), I have to say that I really don't care for this. Mostly I just don't think that public outcry would run that way. I think they would side with him, and call her a harlot, and home-wrecker. That would also make the suicide more plausible. sorry, just an opinion.
