The Debt (Chapter 1)

I stood on the deck of the Crimson Queen. A pirate ship that was known everywhere around the world. I had gotten to be here by having my fathers trading ship captured by the Crimson Queen. My family and I were on that ship and they were threatening to kill my father if his men did not let them in the cargo. Somehow I had gotten the courage to propose a challenge. A fight. Me, a 15 year old girl fighting a pirate.
   I had won that fight and with that the captain gave me a reward. Anything that he could give me was mine.
So I asked him if I could become a pirate. He said yes but on one condition. For 3 years I would be a pirate on his ship but at the end of that time I would have to give up my life to die or to join Davy Jones crew. In the three years I would be on his ship he would teach me to be
fit to work on Davy Jones' ship.
    My parents tried to decide for me but I had decided long ago that I would leave the life that had been set up for me. A life of always looking perfect, always being perfect, and of marrying the perfect man. A man that my parents would pick. That was where the ship was headed. The place were I would be married off to some general of the royal army. A man that would
give honor to the family. I did not want that life.
      I quickly agreed and soon I was on the ship and away from my family.I had just made the biggest decision of my life. I wondered if I would regret it.
