I was at a museum a while back, looking at dinosaurs and mummies. I was fascinated by the way archaeologists and scientists were able to put back together the remnants of ancient bodies. I started thinking to myself, which can be a dangerous thing in most instances. Is this what will happen to us a thousand, 2 thousand years down the road? Will people be looking at our bones and marvel at what we have done? What will happen to us? Will we evolve? Will we all die out? Is the museum dining area open yet?1
I wandered into the weapons area of the museum, to take a look at the "great strides" we have made in the art of killing living beings since the beginning of time. I looked at the sharp flint spearheads and the beautiful swords made from the finest Spanish steel. Ha! Those were nothing compared to what we have now, anthrax and nuclear missiles and all that. I can imagine myself, travelling back in time, armed with what we have now, and just wiping out all our enemies, so the United States of America could rule centuries in advance. Take that, Iraq and Afganistan!! No more Al-Quaeda and Saddam. It is a glorious day to be alive!!!! I sure hope that they have roast beef and mashed potatoes in the cafeteria.2
I then found myself in the section of the museum where they show films of how the earth was formed, and what it had gone through to reach the form it is today. Did you know that all the continents at one time in the history of our planet were all connected to each other? Yes, It's true!! It was one super-continent called Pangea. The seismic activity of the tectonic plates forced the the super-continent to separate into smaller chunks of land. Actually, my guess is that the French became really snotty with the rest of the supercontinent and wanted to break off on its own, but was coerced to join forces with Britain and Poland. Hey, why do you think we all look down on them? No french fries for me, thank you. 3
As I walked out of the museum, I felt intellectually sated, full in the stomach, and ready to go home so I can forget all that I learned by watching "Trading Spouses: Meet your new mommy" Now this is real life I can truly enjoy!4

bravo
i enjoyed this mainly because of the first paragraph. it gets people thinking, ya know, about the future and how much we as the human race have accomplished throughout time. how will it all end up? it is hard to decide. this story was written well and keeps the readers interest. great job, keep it up! -

I did enjoy the information and the humorous ramblings of your mind ( have had some of those thoughts myself upon visiting museums) or even reading National Geographic, thx for sharing,

good
I have to admit it is a very unique piece. I is all true but i did thoroughly enjoy the food coments and yes it seems that everyone's preffered reality is what is on the new damned reality shows. Must make everyone feel so much better to try and forget what is really going on out there. -
Very good story, yeah the paragraph breaks, ok, but good read either way. Love the message behind the words. Could be naravtive on the Discovery channel.

excellent again
Great writing style my friend. Yet again. Only problem I have is the lack of paragraph breaks. I find it difficult to keep focused on where I am up to. I know my eyes are not what they used to be, but maybe a bit longer with shorter lines and broken down into shorter paragraphs would be helpful to many.
You are a very talented story teller and I very much enjoy reading what you write. -
Great story...Piston.
I enjoyed it.

I like this, it's an interesting and amusing tour through your mind
We all have these random, weird thoughts, but it takes real talent to put it down in such a way that others will enjoy reading. Great job, and good luck.

lol. i've thought of all that stuff before! I like the style you wrote it in.

great!
that was great! it was really funny towards the end! the last paragraph actually made me laugh out loud! -
I like how you wrote this as though we were actually in your mind and hearing your thoughts as they randomly come. Just loved the ending. Reality shows, now that's real life. A Jerry Springer View of Father Knows Best! nice writing.

Interesting. Yah...I always wonder what people will study 2000 years from now. Maybe we won't even survive? Maybe we'll all die out and then the Fish People will take over and study our destructive ways until they boil out and then another species of peeple will come alive and study them and us! Wow...

This was great, very informative in a humourous way. These are the sorts of things that go through my mind too
I often wonder if in another two thousand years the English language will even exist anymore, or will we all just be some extinct race, as mysterious as the ancient Egyptians are to us now?
I think the propensity of the major nations for building and stock piling arms is just obscene. To spend billions on weapons when half the planet is still living in poverty and starving to death just fills me with shame. we are prepared to destroy ourselves, and for what?
On a lighter note, I think you are probably right about the French
but maybe the seismic activity of the tectonic plates was also forced into action by the stink of ripe cheese and sweaty arm pits! God I sound awful, but I lived in France for 7 years so I am allowed to have an opinion!
Great write Amir

I must say it was an interesting write in all its complexities. I hope the cafeteria had a good menu ( french fries and all ).
