Blood Crossed Lovers: Part 1 (Revised)

A group of teenagers were driving cross-country on a road trip to Miami, Florida for spring break. It was night and they were driving through the country. No sign of civilization for miles, no artificial light, just the shine from the stars and the full-moon. They all laughed and joked while together in the car. Bragging about what they were going to do once they get to Miami, and how many girls they were going to hook-up with. Up to this point, everything in their lives so far had been a dream. 1

Two Vampires gazed from a distance as the car slowly approached them from miles away. It was a promise of blood that would be most fulfilling. They were Vampire servants from the House of Corbin, the oldest Vampire house still in existance. These two beings go by the names; Samuel and Greg. Both of them did not enjoy feeding on the blood of men, it was a necessity. The inner-creature's hunger would always be satisfied. But there was a fowl smell in the air. Samuel lifted his nose high and took in a deep breath and whispered to Greg, "Werewolves." They agreed to hunt these humans as normal, only preparing to fight if the Werewolves attack first, or try to steal their meal. 2

Two Werewolves watched their two enemies closely. They had been tracking these two adversaries all night. Waiting for the chance to strike their most feared-and hated-competitors for food. As they saw the teenagers car coming from the distance they saw their chance. "Let the Vampires stop the car," growled a wolf who was called Ben in human-form, "let them think they have victory when we strike. Kill the Vampires. Steal the meal." The Werewolf Adam just nodded at the most ingenius plan. 3

The car came into view, Greg's eyes were glued to the vehicle, as a lion's eyes would be transfixed on a gazelle. Samuel was more cautious due to his more experience and age, he kept looking back, trying to spot the Werewolves that the scent was coming from. Greg payed no attention to Samuel's overly-careful habits. All Gregory cared about was that there would be blood in his stomach tonight. The car drew close and Greg striked, jumping thirty feet in the air and landing on the car's hood, bringing the vehicle to a stop. The young men screamed in terror as if little girls. Samuel stopped looking back now, but rushed to the car for his meal. 4

The Vampires had struck. Ben and Adam looked at each other, instantly they knew it was time to fight. They sprinted, running faster than any human could until they were directly behind the Vampires. Ben let out a long howl, showing the Vampires that if they want this meal they would have to fight for it. The Vampires turned to meet the howl, they looked almost translucent to Adam and Ben's keen wolf eyes. One of the Vampires stepped forward to meet Ben's howl with an equally impressive snarl. 5

Greg snarled at the Werewolves. Hating them for their challenge. It is as if you went to Mcdonalds but before you could eat you had to kill the man working the cash register. Quite the annoyance. The Werewolves were tall and hairy and grotesque. Unnatural. The leading Werewolf made a deep growl and that was it. The fight was on. Greg launched at the Werewolf, Samuel followed suit with the second Werewolf. 6

The Vampires attacked. Ben and Adam were ready to repel the attack. It was a clash of claws, teeth, muscle, and bone. Cold, undead blood was soon dripping from the monsters as they clashed. 7

The teenagers in the car watched in horror as the two pale men fought the standing wolves. No one said a word, just watched, wondering who will end up having the pleasure of killing them. One of the teenagers in the back seat yelled, "Drive!" The driver at hearing his friends plee pushed his foot to the floor and the car sped off. 8

The Werewolves fought the Vampires with everything they had. Meeting every blow with one of their own. Growls and curses were littered in with the sound of beating flesh. Adam and Ben looked up as they heard a ferious howl from a new Werewolf. It was the one called Michael. A fierce Werewolf warrior. Adam and Ben celebrated and yelled, "Fight with us brother, help us kill these vermin!" 9

Michael smiled and asked, "Why?" While pointing to the distant headlights. 10

Greg and Samuel followed this new Werewolf's fingers and saw that their meal, during the chaos, had managed to escape. Samuel let out a moan of disatisfaction while Greg let out a sigh and stared at the grown. All their efforts were in vain, and now they were outnumbered. 11

Michael continued to speak in growly voice, "Why these useless fights for food? There are six billion humans in this world, yet you four predators fight over six adolescent teen males. Grow up you little fledgelings! These fights do nothing. This battle is over. Each of you can go back to your respected houses and show them what you've gained. Blood, sweat, and an empty stomach. Greg, Samuel, I'll escort you two back to the house. Vampires, good night."12

-Later That Night-13

"Ramus," Ben announced as he walked into the House of Maximus. An old house of Werewolves, and the rival of the House of Corbin. When the full moon went down and the sun came up, the shaggy-haired monsters transformed back into normal-looking humans. This made Werewolves even more dangerous. They could be hunting you in the daytime and you wouldn't even realize it until the full mooon arose and their true nature was revealed. "Ramus, you should have been with us. Adam and I were kicking Vampire ass until Michael rushed in and ruined our fun. Have any luck hunting?" 14

"Yes," Ramus answered, "one sickly, old man." 15

"Ramus? What is your deal? You have been moping around all week. What is the matter?" 16

"It is Rose." 17

"Of course," Ben sighed. Rose was Ramus's "one true-love" and hearing about it made Ben sick to his stomach. She was beautiful to say the least. She had flowing auburn-colored hair that was most rare for a Werewolf. The hair-color that one possessed on their scalp would be the color of their fur when they transformed. And a red-furred Werewolf was a uncommon sight to see. "What did she do this time?" Ben asked. 18

"She has chosen to live the life of a Amazonian Werewolf. A pure, woman only house." The Amazonian Werewolves were a new, liberal house of wolves that chose to live life as virgins. Old Werewolf legends say that a virgin Werewolf grows to be twice as strong as a female Werewolf who was less pure. 19

"No way." 20

"Yes, and she requests that I seek her out no more." Ramus bowed his head. He felt as though his heart had been ripped out and spat on. Ben could only look in despair at his older brother. He wondered how to cheer him up. 21

"Forget her," Ben finally spoke, "You are Ramus, prince of the Werewolves, you don't need Rose and her feministic ideas." 22

"But I loved her," Ramus said apathetically. 23

"Love? You will find new love. Here, I will make you a deal." 24

Ben paused until finally Ramus spoke, "What deal?" 25

"I will make you a deal, I will talk to Rose if tomorrow night you come out with Michael and I to this party we know about." 26

"What party?" Ramus asked curiously. 27

"The biggest party of the year for the Moon Children." 28

"Will any Vampires be there?" 29

"Of course not. I said Moon Children not retarded undead pygmies from the Sahara desert." 30

"Alright I'll go," Ramus finally agreed. 31

"Thats my boy!" Ben yelled in celebration as he ran down the hall to tell Michael that Ramus was coming to the party with them. Little did Ramus know that the party Ben just invited him to was indeed not a party for Moon Children at all. In actuality, the party Ben spoke of was the Vampire's Masquerade, the annual party that this year, Ben and Michael plan on crashing.32

It could be fun, Ramus thought. His heart ached though. Rose. She was all he could think about, the beauty that turned down the prince of the Werewolves. The one thing Ramus couldn't have, was of course, what he wanted. It is the oldest tale of the book. 33

Ramus shook his hard and rubbed his temples. Hoping that it could drive the thought of his heartbreak out of his head. Of course it didn't work but then he began thinking, there could be some pretty wolves at this party. Maybe some wolves that would even be interested in him. He hoped upon every hope that he would find a girl at this party that would love him for all he was worth. Once again though, he could only hope and nothing more.34

-House of Corbin-35

"Lord Corbin," Peter bowed his head with respect, "I have come to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage."36

The pale Vampire king looked ammused at Peter's request. Lord Corbin was an old and wise leader. While only looking like around fifty years old with his wary brunet hair with the occasional spots of silver sprouting here and there, in reality, he was about a thousand years old. All Vampire's bowed in respect to his ferocity and wisdom as a Vampire lord. "Why do you seek Jaline's hand in marriage on this day?"37

"So that if you permit me, I may propose to her at the Vampire's Masquerade tomorrow night."38

"That is quite romantic," The wise Vampire mused, "You do know that many Vampire's, some better than you, have sought out my daughter's hand in marriage." 39

"Yes, my Lord." Peter said with growing doubt starting to build within his heart. Peter was a, at least for Vampire standards, a handsome male. The curves of his cheek bones, his perfect, pale Vampire complexion, and even though he was not a fierce fighter, he had the body-build of a warrior.40

"Do you know why I did not permit them to marry my daughter?"41

"No, my Lord."42

"I didn't permit them to marry my daughter because my sweet Jaline did not love them. Not because I did not wish that they marry her, but because my daughter did not love them. Peter, you are a fierce lover, I've heard the rumors, but if you wish Jaline's hand, you must woo her. She must tell me she loves you before I will allow you to marry her." The wise Lord smiled at Peter as he said this. 43

"I only must woo her?" Asks Peter in disbelief, "Why I have wooed women I don't even seek. I will make her love me Lord Corbin, you shall see. Maybe not tonight, but soon, and I will become your new son."44

"We will see," Lord Corbin agrees, "but for now, go to your coffin, the sun is soon to rise."45

"Lord, if I may ask, who all is invited to the Masquerade?"46

"Any and all of the Night Children."47

"What about Werewolves?"48

"I said Night Children young Peter," Lord Corbin responded, "Not Moon Children."49

-Princess Jaline's Room-50

Jaline shut the blinds on the windows and spun around heading for her coffin. Her room was in the usual gothic style like most Vampire dwellings. With huge, looming, black arches curving to meet in the center of the ceiling. Jaline's coffin was the only sign of her independence. She had picked it out herself, a hot-pink coffin only an independent being like herself would choose. Jaline was preparing for her hibernation, when there was a knock at the door. "Who is it," Jaline shouted.51

"Your mother," responded Lady Corbin.52

Jaline rose from her coffin and opened the door to reveal her mother. "Mom, what are you doing? The sun is soon to rise."53

"I am fully aware of that young lady." Snapped Lady Corbin. She loathed being talked down to, especially when it came from her daughter. "Have you heard the news?"54

"What news?"55

"That Peter, you know, tall, blonde, and handsome Peter, has just requested your father for your hand in marriage."56

"Did father give him the usual answer?" Asked Jaline with growing disdain for all the pick-up attempts from lonely Vampires.57

"Of course," Lady Corbin answered, "but I think you should give him a chance. He has everything in the world going for him. I don't see why you two shouldn't marry."58

"Mother! I do not love him." Jaline quickly snapped at her mother.59

"Not everything is about love! Peter would make a great husband, and an excellent father. Give me a son-in-law. Give me grandchildren. Your younger brother, Thomas, is good friends with Peter he will approve. Please!" Lady Corbin begged her child, "Give Peter a chance."60

Jaline let out a long, loathsome sigh and answered, "I will give him a chance, but that is all I will promise." Jaline knew in her heart that there was no chance for Peter. He was cocky, and arrogant. Nothing about Peter appealed to her tastes but she didn't want to let her mother down. 61

"That is all I ask." With that Lady Corbin exited the room and Jaline entered her coffin and let herself slip into a light hibernation.

pretty good, but not much detail. You need to describe the vampires, the werewolves and the humans. Describe their surroundings and what the vampire masquerade is about and the Werewolf party.
