Oooh, nice! I've seen Dune and Children of Dune on the SciFi Channel, and the faces this conjures are clear as day. I think I've missed the Dune Messiah part though, but I can see where it goes.
I like the repetitive nature of this drabble, like a chant, a murmured oral tradition, lest the children forget Paul Atreides. -

An excellent sci-fi genre drabble. I liked the evolution of this man as he progresses through his life - each stage a different facet of his personality and an 'echo' of how he sees himself.

I did not understand this in anyway. However, I re-read this a few times an I kinda got the picture. Adn the "Golden Path", to me, seems like life. Adn he is only a boy... As either a man or figurehead in the other paths.
