My Jonas Brothers

“Yes their finally gone!! Now maybe I can actually go out on a date!!” I thought seeing Kevin’s, Joe’s, and Nick’s tour bus start to drive away.1

Now don’t get me wrong, I love my brothers. But lately they’ve been a bit… over protective of me. I mean I’m 15!! I want to go out on a date before I’m 40!! And now that their gone on their “When You Look Me in the Eye’s” tour I have a chance. The thing is though they’ll probably be calling me 24/7 except when their asleep and at their concerts and I know their sleeping schedule and concert dates by heart! Hey… why are they pulling back in?? They have a flat tire great!! I have a date for tonight and if they answer the door when the guy gets here… oh boy. Let’s just say I might not be seeing the light of day for a while. What am I going to do?? “Hey.” I said nervously as Joe came into my room.2

“Hey… what are you up to?” Joe asked me eyeing me suspiciously.3

“Me up to something?? What would make you think that?” I asked trying to sound calm.4

“Because you usually are up to something!” Joe said as Kevin and Nick walked in.5

“Well I’m not!!” I said.6

“Not what?” Nick asked.7

“Up to something!!” I said.8

“I think you are.” Joe said.9

“I am not!! I’m going for a walk!” I said storming out of my room.10

“Mind if we come?” Kevin yelled after me.11

“Yes I mind!!” I said slamming the door to the house behind me.12

“Let’s follow her.” Joe said.13

“Why?” Nick asked.14

“I think she’s up to something that she doesn’t want us to know about.” Joe said.15

“I don’t know if following her is the best idea Joe. What if she spotted us?” Kevin said.16

“Then we say we’re her older, more mature…” Joe began.17

“You’re more mature than Marissa?? When did this happen??” Kevin asked as Nick gavehim a high-five.18

“Shut up. As I was saying we’ll just say we’re her older, more mature brothers and we’re only trying to protect her and look out for her best interests.” Joe said.19

“Okay… but if she never sees us and never forgives us I’m blaming you.” Kevin said.20

“Same here.” Nick said as they all stood up and started following after me.21

“Fine.” Joe said as they spotted me.22

They kept a safe distance so they could see me but I couldn’t see them and so I couldn’t them. When I rounded a corner I thought I saw something. I stopped and looked back. I didn’t see anything so I started walking again. “Phew… that was close.” Joe said hoping out of a tree while Kevin and Nick climbed out of the bushes they had been in.23

“No kidding.” Kevin said.24

After about three minutes I finally reached the house of the boy that was going to take me out that night. When Kevin, Joe, and Nick saw how I was flirting with the boy at the door they figured out what was going on pretty quickly. They started pretending like they had been jogging and caught up to me before I was able to go in. “Oh Marissa! Hi! Fancy seeing you here!” Kevin said like he hadn’t even know I was there.25

“Kevin?? Joe?? Nick?? What are you three doing here??” I asked knowing this wasn’t going to end well.26

“We decided to go for a jog.” Nick said as he jogged in place.27

“You know them?” Terrence the boy I had liked since fourth grade asked.28

“Yhea I do…” I said wishing Kevin, Joe, and Nick would just jog away.29

“Well are you going to introduce us?” Joe asked.30

“Kevin, Joe, Nick this is my friend Terrence. Terrence these are my brothers Kevin, Joe, and Nick. And they obviously have to get going, isn’t that right guys?” I asked looking at them with pleading eyes.31

“No we don’t have anywhere to go right now. We have time to spare so we can meet our little sisters’ friend.” Joe said putting his arm around me in a brotherly way.32

“No, no, no!! That’s okay!! At home you told me had to go to Chuck E. Cheese didn’t you??” I asked giving them a look that said please I’m begging you.33

“No, we don’t need to go to Chuck E. Cheese. Even though it sounds fun we don’t need to.” Joe said having a hard time since it was one of his favorite places to go.34

“Oh man…” I moaned.35

“Well would you like to come in?” Terrence asked looking a bit upset that we weren’t going to be alone.36

“Sure, that would be great!” Nick said as he stopped jogging.37

“Great!! Just great!!” I thought as we all walked in.38

“Mom a friend and her brothers are here!” Terrence called.39

“Hello!” his mom said coming out.40

“Mom this is Marissa.” Terrence said gesturing to me.41

“Oh as in Marissa the girl you’re taking on a date tonight?” she asked making me cringe and my heart flutter at the same time.42

“Date? You never told us you were going on a date.” Kevin said looking at me.43

“Must have slipped my mind to tell you.” I said nervously while smiling sheepishly.44

“Okay…” Kevin said looking at me suspiciously.45

“Yes mom.” Terrence said. “And their her brothers.”46

“Nice to meet you!” she said shaking all of our hands.47

“Like wise.” I said trying to look Kevin, Joe, and Nick in the eyes.48

Just then Joe’s phone rung. “Hello? Oh hey mom! Yhea, uh huh. Okay! Will do!” Joe said.49

“What’s up with mom?” Nick asked.50

“The bus is ready. We have to go.” Joe said as he grabbed my hand and started dragging me out.51

“Uh… bye Terrence. See you tonight.” I said knowing that arguing wasn’t the best idea right now.52

“Bye.” Terrence said looking sad that I couldn’t stay.53

Once we rounded the corner Joe finally let go of me and I started walking in front of them so my ck was to them. “So you’re going on a date tonight?” Kevin asked sounding a bit upset from me not telling them.54

“Yes I am!!” I said.55

“Do mom and dad know?” Joe asked.56

“Yes.” I said trying not to blow up at them.57

“Why didn’t you tell us?” Nick asked.58

I stopped and turned around to face them. “Because I knew you would do what you just did!!” I yelled with tears coming to my eyes.59

“What did we do??” Joe asked.60

“You meddled and pried!! You meddle with and pry into my personal life!! You treat me like I’m five instead of 15!! You act like you’re my parents instead of mom and dad!!” I said trying not to yell and cry but some tears still rolled down my cheeks.61

“I’m sorry if we love you and want to protect you!!” Kevin said.62

I turned around and started walking home so they wouldn’t see me cry. I felt bad for yelling at them but I was so mad and annoyed by the way the treated me.63

I walked past the house and kept walking towards the park. “Where you going?” Nick asked catching up to me.64

“The park.” I said wiping some tears away.65

“Okay, can I come with you?” Nick asked.66

“If I say no are you just going to follow me like you guys did before?” I asked.67

“Hey, that was Joes’ idea!” Nick said.68

“You could have said no and stood up for me though!!” I said.69

“I’m sorry, I should’ve done that. So can I come?” Nick asked.70

“Fine.” I said hearing my phone ring.71

If the heart is always searching; can you ever find a home?72

I’ve looking for that someone; I can’t make it on my own!73

Dreams can’t take the place of loving you! There’s got to be a million reasons why it’s true.74

I saw that I had a text message. It was from Terrence.75

Hey, Marissa. About tonight…

Yhea…76

Well I’d like to cancel…77

What?? Why??78

I just don’t think you’re the right girl for me anymore.79

How would you know?? You haven’t even gone on one date with me yet!!80

I know… I just don’t think it would work out between us.81

I hung up and started crying I as I read over the discussion again. “What did I do wrong?” I thought.83

“Marissa what’s wrong?” Nick asked.84

“Read this and you’ll find out what’s wrong!” I said as I handed him the phone with the conversation still on the screen.85

He read it within 30 seconds. “I’m so sorry Marissa. He’s blind and a jerk to do that to you!” Nick said pulling me into a hug. “You want to turn around and go home?”86

“Mhmm.” I said nodding head yes while Nick kept hugging me.87

“Come on.” he said as we turned around to see that Kevin and Joe had been following us.88

“What’s wrong?” Kevin and Joe both asked seeing my face.89

Nick handed them my phone and they both read the discussion. The both pulled me into a hug when they finished reading it. “It’s going to be okay. He’s blind to think that!!” Kevin said as I buried my face in both his and Joe’s shirts.90

“And stupid. You’re way too good for him anyway!!” Joe said rubbing my back.91

“Joe’s right! You’re going to find the right guy some day and he’ll be way cooler than Terrence.” Kevin said.92

"But I wanted Terrence!" I thought. "I've wanted him since fourth grade!!"93

"The guy that wins your heart is going to be the luckiest guy alive!!" Nick said joining the hug.94

"That's for sure!" Joe said.95

"Any guy that disagrees with that deffinatly isn't worth your time!" Kevin said.96

"That's the truth!!" Joe said.97

"You're the coolest girl that's out there Marissa and he's an idiot to think otherwise!!" Nick said.98

Just then we heard someone walking up behind us. Nick turned his head to see who it was and he didn't like it at all. "Hey guys." Terrence said walking up to us.99

I just started crying even harder. "Listen I'm sorry, I..." Terrence began.100

"Just shut up and leave our little sister alone!!" Kevin said giving him a hateful look and trying not to punch him.101

"I'm sorry!! Please just..." Terrence began.102

"Leave our little sister alone!!" Joe yelled as he pulled away from the hug and walked towards Terrence and shook his fist angrily at him.103

"Okay!!" Terrence said running off.104

"Come on let's go home." Kevin said rubbing my back.105

"Yhea, I think that's a good idea." Nick said wiping away a tear that was rolling down my cheek with his thumb. "You're gonna be okay. You're way better off without him anyway!"106

"That's right. Plus you'll always have us to turn to. Just say the word and we'll beat up any boy that ever hurts you." Joe said making me smile.107

"There's that award winning smile we all love so much!" Kevin said seeing my smile.108

"We want to see more of those from now on!" Joe said tickling me a bit trying to make me laugh.109

"No, Joe please stop!!" I said laughing.110

"No!! We want to hear you laugh some more!!" Joe said.111

"No, quit it Joe!! This isn't funny!!" I said still laughing.112

"What do you mean it's not funny?? You're laughing aren't you? You laugh when somethings funny so it must be funny!!" Joe said smiling.113

"Joe stop it!" I said still laughing.114

"Fine..." Joe said stopping while he picked me up and slung me over his shoulder.115

"JOSEPH ADAM JONAS!! Put me down right now!!" I said laughing while I playfully pounded on his back.116

"That's a negatory Marissa. I'm not putting you down anytime soon." Joe said smiling.117

I pretended to look mad and crossed my arms. Truth was I could never get too mad at Joe. When we got home Joe started walking on the bus with me still over his shoulder. "Um... hold on what's going on?" I asked.118

"You're going to stow away and come with us. I'm not leaving with out you." Joe said putting me on a bunk where there was already a suitcase of my stuff under it.119

"Mom and dad said I could come??" I asked jumping up excitedly.120

"Yep." Joe said smiling at the excitment in my voice.121

This would be the first time I would be going on tour with them. And to think at the beginnig of the day I was somewhat glad they were leaving!
