We Three Pt. 1

The sunlight hit my face directly when I awakened. I hated all the feelings that hit me at the same time when I awaken. As I tried to over come them, I looked down to see if Vivien or Scarlett had woken up yet. Neither. They were both fast asleep. I love when they spend the night at my house. Scarlett talks in her sleep, but Vivien doesn’t do anything funny in her sleep. She is just way over dramatic about some things. I learned early on that you shouldn’t get into a discussion about good acting with her. That would be a very bad idea!1

Scarlett O’Hara and Vivien Leigh are my best friends. We met in a place called The Between. It is a place that you can only visit in your dreams, and from there, you choose where to live for an amount of time. Right now, they were in Columbus, Ohio with me. We had just visited London. That was Viv’s idea. It was cool, literally. Too cool. And way too foggy. However, when we went to Scarlett’s ideal place, Atlanta, and it was way too hot! And we had to dress in those elaborate dresses, with all those petticoats. I swear, if I had to wear that corset one moment longer, I would have gone insane! (Of course, that would have happened before I passed out.) 2

My place was, of course, where I lived. I was completely comfortable here. I lived in Ohio. Not the most exciting place in the world, but it beats squinting to see in London, and almost dying of a heat stroke in Georgia. I wouldn’t dare tell Vivi or Scarlett this. 3

Now, as I was saying, I woke up reluctantly, and stumbled out of my bed. Being the klutz I am, I lost my footing, and stepped on Vivien. The levels of each of my feet were off balance, and so I then tumbled over, and fell on Scarlett as well. They both were quite angry. Scarlett hit me harshly in the face with her pillow, and Vivien attempted to kick me, but missed, and tried to give me a hateful look. That didn’t work either, because she was overcome by her sleepiness; yawned, and drifted back to sleep. I suddenly burst out laughing. Scarlett had almost completely awakened.4

In the middle of a yawn: “Great balls of fire! I can’t get any sleep when we go to your time era, Anastasia!”5

I was still laughing, because, I thought most of the phrases that came out of Scarlett’s mouth were unbelievably funny, and the thought that anyone actually said them, and wanted to be taken seriously, was even more hilarious. 6

“Well, I don’t see why you’re still laughing. It’s not that funny, is it?” she snapped questioningly. Her face was stern, but she gave the slight impression that she was of the utmost cluelessness. 7

“Right. Not funny at...” I trailed off, because I felt another fit of the giggles approaching. 8

“That’s the last straw!” Vivien yelled at the top of her lungs.9

“Huh?” Scarlett and I both said in unison.10

“I can’t sleep! I feel like I’m living with Larry, but I couldn’t go to sleep living with him, because…oh! Never mind,” she began to blush.11

“Ooow!!” Scarlett and I both said, again, in unison.12

“Oh, shut up.”13

We all began laughing. 14

While walking to school, I said ‘hi’ to the guy I liked, and as usual, Scarlett and Vivien got on my case. Another unique thing about time traveling, is that when I’m alone with them, they appear to me as the age they liked the best in their lifetime. When I’m we’re at school, they appear to me, and everyone else, as an age that would be appropriate. I thought that it was indeed interesting to see them as fourteen-year-olds. Scarlett didn’t look much different from when she was first seen in Gone with the Wind, but Vivien looked completely different, because she was twenty-seven when she played Scarlett. 15

“We missed a lot of school time, when we traveled to London,” I pointed out, matter-of-factly. 16

“Yes, I know. I wonder what we missed,” added Scarlett.17

“I don’t care. I find it all a bore,” Vivien said.18

“Well, no one likes going to school, Vivi,” I pointed out, again. 19

“But, I especially despise it,” stated Vivien. “I already know all the things we are learning. It’s old.”20

“Oh, please. I know that in science, there are always new events coming up. There are things that happen that they didn’t teach when you went to school,” I said certainly. 21

“I have to agree with Vivien,” Scarlett replied, and remembered leaving Fayetteville Female Academy. “I hadn’t willingly opened a book since I left. Of course, now I have to.”22

We laughed about it, until we reached our lockers. Unfortunately, our ‘locker buddy’ was an annoying guy who thought that every girl in the school was in love with him. 23

“Hey Viv,” he said slyly. 24

“Don’t call me Viv. You can call me Vivien…Like the all the other people that I don’t like,” she snapped.25

“Ooow, harsh,” he replied, as he pursed his lips.26

“Ugh!” I said, and grabbed Vivien and Scarlett. 27

great story, I saw a movie the other night that had a part from GWTW...it was funny, it was the scene where Rhett carries Scarlett up the stairs, well, Rhett couldn't do it and so they fell backwards down the stairs. It was really funny, my mom said not to tell you about it, but I can't resist.
