When the wood is rotten,7

I’ll fall down there with you,9
Then spread out my strong wings,10
I’ll never let you go,11
Whatever our time brings,12
When you’re tumbling for black water,13
Or bleeding at the heart,14
I’ll snatch you up, up in my arms,15
I won’t let you split apart,16
I’ll hold you in my arms,17
Rock you like a child,18
I’ll wipe away those tears,19
Calm you when you’re wild,20
I’ll always love you first,21
Even when you’re last,22
I’ll never wish you gone,23
Like something of the past,24
Just remember when you’re wrapped in dark25
All caught up in strong pain,26
I’ll always be there with you,27
I’ll try to make it right again,28
I’m right here by your side,29
Though a thousand miles away,30
I’ll hug you in my heart,31
And pull you through the day,32
So when you’re feeling lost,33
Your heart is burning ash,34
You can fight the pain no longer,35
Not one last brutal lash,36
Give me all that burden, 37
And let me share that weight,38
Curl up in my arms and cry,39
I love you my soul-mate.

This is sweet. I can tell that you care greatly for this friend. Only a good friend would fall down with you when a bridge breaks just to make your landing softer. Very creative. Very nice write. Thanks for sharing this one with us and thanks for entering it into my contest.
