Infinite (The Kiss)

Countless days had I been waiting for this moment. Something inside me knew that it would happen, if not here, then at a later time.1

But as I sat on my soft living room carpet across from the boy that I loved more than life itself, staring down at my hands for a moment and then looking up at him from under my eyelashes, nothing suprised me more then when The Kiss happened.2

His beautiful, pure golden eyes met my own green ones, and he studied mine for a moment in the complete silence of the house.3

"Jesse," he said, his voice like sweet, melting honey, deep and rich and full of real, unfathomably beautiful love, "I really shouldn't be doing this, but I have to."4

And his large, warm hands met either side of my face, gently, and he turned my head slightly to the side, then leaned in close, his eyes closed. He smelled like a clean, summer breeze, like Heaven itself.5

And as his warm lips touched mine, gently, tenderly, in a kiss so full of passionate adoration that my mind went completely blank. All sound was gone, time was no longer a guiding force. I forgot where I was, every trial in my life. All I could think of was him, and how irrevocably, incandescently in love with him I was.6

Before I knew it was over, and he backed away slowly, placing his forehead against mine and giving me a moment, thankfully, to try and remember how to breathe. I gently wrapped my arms around his neck, letting one of my hands rest in his shiny black hair.7

Ever since then, my heart has beat differently. The air I breathe is that much sweeter. Every color is more vibrant, every sound more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Everything I thought I knew was changed in less than a minute. I was infinate.8

My life became just that much more worth it, all from just one kiss.

Author notes

This is an absolutely true story, no joke. :]
I really hope I get it to 500 the first time, or less. I think it is.
For 'Scene: The Kiss,' I chose option four. Although I count it as my first kiss, since it was the first kiss that really meant something to me. So it's kind of 3 and 4, I suppose.

My favorite animal is a tiger, but I like wolves and bats too.

    That's So Sweet!

No, really, it is. It feels much more real (or surreal, I guess) when it actually happens to you for the first time huh? I love the description in this scene. I wish you luck in the other contests, (I really hope you win a trophy for this) and thank you for entering mine.

      Thanks :]

I'm glad you liked it. And yes, it was extremely surreal. I still sometimes wonder if it really happened or if I just dreamed it. :]
